Well... I started this back towards the beginning of the year but shortly after my computer became infected, i then cancelled my internet service and then moved! So.... I'm at my in-laws right now and figured I should type a little something up since a lot has happened... plus Heather said I should... :) So Scott and I were originally in a four plex that was 2 bed 1 bath with a small basement. It was pretty nice. They had just remodeled it right before we got married so it was all fresh paint, new carpet and flooring, and just nice and clean feeling! We were there from May of '06 until the end of March '08. We started looking for houses in Feb. and after many many homes we found the perfect one! There had been an older one I really wanted. It had a lot of character and was so cute and simple but then the meth test came back negative... no good. So we searched again and after being disappointed a few other times but just barely missing out on a home by not making an offer, we finally found it. It technically wasn't back on ther market yet but my realtor knew the other realtor and she said we would probably love it. She was right. It was on .21 acres (corner lot) with 2200 sq. ft total. 11 up and 11 down. It's a rambler with a 2 car garage. There is a small laundry room off the garage and next to the kitchen/dining area. It's 3 bed 2 bath with a master closet (love that a ton!). The basement isn't finished and most of the yard isn't done. It was built in '99 so not too old at all! Which was great because most the homes we were looking at had some issues and I was kinda afraid of things being worse. So anyway, we bought it and I love it. There is a lot of work to be done outside. We only have a chain link fence out front which is fine for our dog for now. Once we get a fence out back that chain link will definately be coming down. The yard needs a lot of help but in due time.
So shortly after the house came the dog. He's like having a kid. He's a lot of work but I was getting a little sad about not being able to get pregnant so Toby is my baby. He really is a cute dog and can be so sweet when he's not super hyper and grabbing everything he's not supposed to have. I'll get pics up sooner or later.
Not too much longer after the dog came my pregnancy! I took my first test on Aug. 29th and again on Aug. 30th to be sure. We told our family on the 30th.... we just can't keep secrets. I went to my first appt in Oct and they did an ultrasound. We have a great first pic of the baby. It was in such a good spot. You could even see the little arm and leg buds and the tech showed us the heart beating too so that was way cool. I'm either 16 or 17 weeks. According to what my sonographer said I should be 16 weeks but according to my dr at my last appt I'd be at 17 weeks now... so I'm sure I'll know for sure on my next visit when we find out the sex. So far things have gone really well. My only complication so far is they detected group b strep in me really early. They always test for it around 35-37 weeks because it can make the baby very very sick or kill it if passed on during labor. The only odd thing is there were really high amounts in my urine at my last appt. and my dr tried 2 tests on it with penicillin and it had no affect on it. So we don't have to worry about that test later on since we know I have it. I'm just not quite sure how they'll treat it yet. I know I have to have some kind of antibiotics at least 4 hrs before I deliver so I'm sure it'll be ok.
Anyway, so that probably sums it up for the most part.... I'll get more pics on soon enough. I need to try to update this more... the Utah vs. BYU game is on now and I really hate the rivalry up here so I'm boycotting. I think at half time I'll get my camera card so I can spend the 2nd half downloading pics!
