A Most Excellent Christmas

Well Christmas was just wonderful for my husband and I. We received a lot more from our family than we planned. My in-laws had given us money after Thanksgiving which we bought a stroller/carseat travel system then they went and got a bunch more stuff! All very useful things we needed so it worked out great. My parents got me some cooking stuff and other things. I'm so stoked to use my new pressure cooker! Now if I forget to throw something in the crock pot, I have back-up! Yes! They also helped pay for a new garbage disposal since ours crapped out on us. My dad got the new one in and I can use the dishwasher again! Yay! The whole sink had just been backing up so even though that came a couple days after Christmas it was much appreciated! All in all, everything we received was just awesome and I'm going to make use of EVERTHING! Our family is just too good to us!

I did also receive my wonderful white Christmas. It actually kinda sucked most of Christmas day. It was crazy windy all day long. While up at my in-laws waiting for my bro-in-law to call from Argentina the power kept going out. Then before we went up to my parents we had come back home and our trash cans were blown over in the driveway and a huge panel off our neighbors vinyl fence was gone. That sucked cuz right now only the front of our house is fenced and that's where the dog goes which happens to be where the 4 ft wide panel was missing. So we had to take him out on his leash. Thank goodness they had the panel back up by that night. We also had some flapping roof tiles but won't get to see the status of those until the snow melts. Later on that night the wind just finally died down then it started snowing like crazy! We probably got about 6-8 inches. They barely plowed and all the roads still suck to drive on in the neighborhoods. But it was a white Christmas! First ever! Woohoo!

The day after Christmas we went into Salt Lake to do a little shopping. I needed a couple more pairs of maternity jeans and wanted to see if I could find some 6-9 month old sweaters and cold weather stuff. I know people won't be able to buy much of that for my shower and I want to be prepared so we picked up a couple thermal things and some little sweaters for now. I'm waiting for the jackets to go on sale which should be in the next month or two. Just trying to prep for next winter! I'm just getting so excited for this baby. It's such an amazing feeling to feel it moving around in there. For the past month I've been able to feel it move but it's a little more frequent now and just crazy to think thats inside of me! Anyway, it was a great Christmas and I'm just so blessed to have the family I do. They all do so much for us. I hope you all had a great Christmas and I hope you all have a happy New Year!
