Good times with Picasa

So I finally downloaded Picasa and have been messing with it. Quite entertaining. I had heard about it a few times but never tried it and I finally decided to today. So I got to have some fun with posting my pics. You shall see more below...anyway, since our last update we've been doing good. We had a good Father's day. I had a garage sale at our house yesterday and we were gonna donate all the money we earned to help the young women out with girls camp since our fundraisers didn't work out. It wasn't as good as our first but not too bad either. I had fun just hanging out and chatting it up. Plus some of the neighborhood kids came around and one of my beehives (I guess technically they're not mine anymore) came over with her snow cone machine and we all had snow cones. I just really love our neighborhood and wish I could get all my friends to move in up here. We seriously have the best ward and everyone is so awesome and all the kids are so much fun. It's a great place to raise a family. I just love it. Now I can't remember if I posted this before or not but I was released from 2nd counselor in the Young Women's presidency and I'm now teaching the sunday school class for the 14-15 yr olds. I'm sad to be leaving the girls but some of my beehives move up in my class this next year and I still get to interact with the youth so it'll be good. I've already taught for 3 weeks now and I really love it. I love that I'm learning more than I have ever known and I'm excited to be able to teach the youth these stories. It's just a lot of fun so far.

Oh I'm really excited for this coming Friday too. Scott and I are going on a real date! So I was on facebook one day and saw that this guy I knew in school was in a band going on tour. So I kinda looked into it and sent him a message. The girl he dated the end of our senior year is now his wife and the lead singer of this band they're in. He had been in a different band when I moved to Utah and they were starting up another band at the time but ended up in this band they're in now... if any of that makes sense. So they are called "The Material" and he ended up writing me back (I had asked if they're tour happened to bring them to Utah) and he told me that they would be playing SLC on July 2 at the Avalon. So I thought it'd be fun to go and see them. They're opening for some other bands on the Rock Yourself To Sleep Tour. So I'm really excited to see them play and see how far they've come. Sounds like they're doing pretty good so far. I don't know if I'll get to talk to them at all but it'll be fun to see them anyway. It'll be like when I saw another guy I knew in high school play Warped Tour in SLC. I was still living in Cali at the time but had flown up to visit my bro and his friend was an SLPD doind security and got us in for free. We were checking out the bands and I saw this band name I recognized and realized it was him. Its kinda funny to see people you went to school with in these bands and watch them perform. But yeah, I'm stoked and so glad Scott and I get to go on a date! We were just saying today how sometimes we feel like teenagers still and how it seems weird we're actually 26 and married with a kid. So this will be fun and bring out the kids in us. It'll be nice to have some us time. It's been a while and I think we need it every now and again. Anyway... here are the pics... hopefully everything turns out ok!

Here are some pics of little miss active. She loves playgrounds and loves to play bball with us. She loves climbing up and down stairs and just being outside.

So this was lunch one day. We had an orange after she ate all her food and this orange was super sweet and super duper juicy. It was just dripping down her arms like crazy. The pics in the middle show it dripping off her high chair and then the puddle of juice on the ground. And I gave her only like a quarter of the orange to eat. Crazy messy!

Ok so from the top left going down: She found a head band in my hair stuff drawer and put it on backwards; sitting in the cart at costco... all laid back; sitting on Mick's (Scott's friend) lap wearing his hat; Charlotte and her pretty nails we painted; Doing her cute look she gives me while eating; Her rosy little face from being in the heat. I get pink when I get hot so she must get that from me.

Charlotte love mexican food. We just had a Costa Vida open up and Charlotte ate more there than I swear I've even seen her eat. I think she ate more of my black beans and rice than I did and she loved the quesadilla we shared. To the right she was eating Del Taco beans and cheese which makes a fun sound when its all over your hands and you clap. she also almost ate a whole chicken soft taco... minus like one adult bite. I swear she'll eat a ton of mexican food!

So last week I really wanted to bake something. I love to cook and baking is quite the treat. So I found the Hershey's perfectly chocolate cake recipe. It's the best homemade choco cake I've ever made. Then I thought instead of using their frosting recipe that goes with it I'd find a choco whip cream frosting to make. I think this is my best cake yet. It's quite amazing. Next I wanna make a homemade choco pudding pie and pipe the choco whip cream on top....might be a while before I do that... gotta watch the weight!

So since our warm weather is finally here to stay we've had praying mantis eggs hatching all around us. I found tons of these babies while cleaning out the garage the other day. Amazing how tiny they are and how big they become. Look how cute though... so tiny. I love these guys. If I see 'em I keep throwing them in my plants. I want them to grow up and eat all the grasshoppers. These guys are great at getting rid of unwanted plant eaters.
