Little update

Alright so here I am finally posting some pics and whatnot of Charlotte and what we've been up to. Well sad to say my neices and nephew moved back to California. I think I mentioned before how unhappy I am about that and to add to it my ex sister in-law took some things with her she wasn't supposed to or sold things that didn't belong to her.... so not very happy about that either. Not much I can do about it now. I don't wanna get into my ranting and raving here because I'll never stop but I got a couple pics the last night we saw them. Of course none of Izzy or Noles since I think they were inside playing or watching tv while we were outside. But here's what I got:
Charlotte was having fun with Cami and Chloe on the swing. (Amazing we get those names straight with so many c's. I do sometimes call Charlotte "Chloe"). Charlotte loves to play with Jetta and I don't think Jetta likes it as much. She's kinda afraid of Charlotte sometimes. Last week we had a lot of monsoonal moisture so we got to watch the thunderstorms roll through on the porch. I love it up here. So relaxing.

So it was sad to say goodbye to the kids but not much we can do. So moving on... I have some pics of Charlotte and just little random things we've been doing around here.
Starting in the top left corner, I went to get her up one morning and her shirt was off... so silly. Then below that she's been loving sunglasses. Might need to drop by the dollar store and get her a pair someday. To the right is my lil sis Chloe playing with her at some kids area at the Layton mall. The right of that is the bugs that frequent the area. Thank goodness for one eating the other. The praying mantis is one of my fav's since they eat up wasps and grasshoppers. Charlotte likes when I hold them so she can look at them. She loves to play out in the yard when I water. Look how tiny she is next to my like 8 ft tall sunflowers. They are huge! I didn't think they'd grow back and they are way taller than before. I keep 'em because I love sunflowers and they are a good reminder of how to live your life. One of my fav girly type movies is Calendar Girls and this quote from it " I don't think there is anything on this planet that more trumpets life than the sunflower. For me that's because of the reason behind its name. Not because it looks like the sun but because it follows the sun. During the course of the day, the head tracks the journey of the sun across the sky. A satellite dish for sunshine. Wherever light is, no matter how weak, these flowers will find it. And that's such an admirable thing. And such a lesson in life." So even though they are like weeds here in UT I can't bring myself to taking them out because what a great reminder. So I have massively tall ones blocking the entrance to our gate. Sorry visitors :)....... Anyway, the pic in the top right is Charlotte's bruise. Thank goodness it wasn't worse. She hit the edge of the coffee table. Poor girl. Then there is the mad crying face. I get that sometimes when she's eating and just grumpy. Then there is the one of her and Scott. She is sharing his mcdonald's smoothie with her. She loves them. He'll come home with them quite a bit since he's had all these free coupons. Charlotte loves it.

So..... besides that we haven't been up to too much. We went out to lunch with Scott's mom yesterday and ate at Costa vida.... so yummy. It was fun to get out for a bit. Oh and last night I decided to make this homemade fettuccine alfredo. It was so good! I made homemade breadsticks too. Charlotte gobbled it down like a starving child. She loved it. Scott and I were having broccoli and I gave Charlotte some mixed veggies. What did she want though.... my broccoli. So I didn't complain of course and just gave her the tops since they were easiest to eat. She downed that too. Then to top it all off I made homemade berry cobbler. Not my most favorite cobbler topping but not terrible. I think I'll stick with my Betty Crocker one. Seemed to be better. But still good and I probably gained 10 lbs from it. Alfredo is not a diet dish but I figured once in a while wouldn't hurt. It was so rich but good.

So I think that's about it for us. Everything else is pretty normal. One of my friends is getting married in Provo tomorrow so we're gonna head out for her reception that evening then Scott's dad mentioned something about a Christensen family reunion in SLC Sat. We might go if his parents do. Funny that there's Christensen's on Scott's side... maybe we're related! Who knows... lots of Christensen's in UT and especially as you start going back in family history and go back to Denmark... so you never know I guess.
