Well starting Monday August 30 and continuing to Monday September 6 is birthday extravaganza week for our families. Aug 30 is Scott's dad's bday, Sept 1 is my bro, Sept 5 is our niece Mylee's then Sept 6 my mom's. Crazy! But always good fun to celebrate together! This past Sunday we celebrated with Scott's family. We did Ken and Mylee's together since Scott's bro Mark is gonna be camping with their family for Mylee's bday. It's always fun to just hang out and talk and when cake is involved it gets even better! Here's a couple pics from that:
We had yummy german chocolate and strawberry cakes. Mylee is such a cutie. I can't believe she's gonna be 5! I kinda got a pic with all the grandkids. You just can't see Charlotte or Olivia's face but they're all huddled around the cake... Charlotte mainly for the silverware. Then there is Mylee and her Grandpa while we sang to them. Happy birthday to both! Tonight we celebrate my bro's and next Monday my mom!
This past Saturday Scott and I were lucky enough to get to go with the youth to the temple to do baptisms for the dead. I hadn't done those in forever and Scott even got to baptize me. So fun! Charlotte stayed with my parents and did really good. She actually took a nap on their couch which is like, unheard of. She will only ever sleep in her crib. I can't even get her to sleep on me at church but she crashed at my parents that morning. Later on we went with my mom and sis to Winco then had dinner with them. We had some corn on the cob and Charlotte really liked it so we gave her her own, very first, corn on the cob... cute topless girl:
One night Charlotte was kinda fussy and I was trying to sweep and mop the kitchen floor. So I got an idea. I had to move the chairs out from the table anyway so I made a little fort so Scott could play with her in there. She seemed to really like it. So I did it again the next morning when I was trying to get some dishes done. But I made it much bigger. I was so proud of myself. I used to love stuff like that. Sadly it wasn't as exciting to her but Toby seemed to enjoy it for whatever reason. I did take pics though... I thought it was cool :)
I'm trying to think what else has happened recently. Charlotte did go to the Dr. on Monday for her checkup and boosters. She's almost done with boosters until kindergarten. Woohoo! She is now weighing only 20 lbs 6 oz and 32 in tall! String bean! She's like 10-12th percentile for weight and like 95th for height. Shocker. She's a cute stinker. She's healthy and she can say the following: cheese, juice, nana (banana), yes, yeah, eyes, mom, dad, hi, jesus, light, shoe... there may be some more. She doesn't say them all the time but she's getting better at communicating. She will surprise us and say something when she wants it and we've heard her try to say other things like grapes and we swear one time we heard necklace when I showed her my necklace. So she's trying to be more vocal in communicating to us what she wants. She can move pretty dang quick and tries to jump. The Dr. did say she was a little advanced for that so good for her. We gotta get her hops going so she can be baller like me and Scott :) She still loves to dance and she's starting to get the hang of nodding her head yes and shaking it no. I just love to watch her. She's so cute. She does give me a run for my money. She's a wild girl and has no problem letting you know when she's mad. She'll stomp when she throws a tantrum. Its kinda cute now... I'm sure it'll eventually drive me nuts. But I love her and I love to see her progress and I'm glad she's such a healthy little kid. We are very fortunate in that sense. Until she grows up to either have pcos or some weird skin condition... my family is healthy for the most part... we just have weird stuff so wouldn't surprise me.
But yeah, I think that about does it. I've gotta get to work tomorrow. We're headed up to the cabin so it'll be nice to get up there and relax. I also gotta take lots of pics for Liz to show Paul... I won't forget! I'll take tons so it'll be like he's been there himself! So I'm really excited. I love that cabin and its just fun to create all these memories with our family and its such a beautiful place. Plus later in the month or in Oct we can drive the Alpine loop with all the amazing fall colors. I love it up there. Sooooooooo excited! Oh and if you care to check it out I'm gonna post some recipes on my other blog.

I can't believe Charlotte is that old. She is adorable. I think Bailey is going to have wispy hair like her. Sorry we missed you when we came out to see Grandma, I will remember to tell you the next time we come. I love the fort. Braxton loves to make forts.
