Day 1 - Introduction

So....I was born in Tarzana, CA..... for those who don't know where that is..... its where Britney Spears shaved her head.... more info on Tarzana found here Tarzana, CA. It is also a nickname my parents used to call me.... Tarzana Ana. So even though I was born there I lived in Simi Valley, CA for 21 yrs. Simi is quite the popular place and can be seen in lots of movies and tv shows... you can find more info here: Simi Valley, CA. So really quick.....brief history on my parents.....They met in high school and got married the Dec after they graduated and 9 lovely months later had my brother. My mom was Catholic and my dad was a member of  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They had tried a few years to have another kid after my brother and after 10 yrs were finally successful and had me! My mom had joined the church a month before she had me and just before I was a year old me, my mom, dad and brother were all sealed to each other in the Los Angeles Temple. So my bro and I are 10 yrs apart. Then when my bro left for his mission my mom found out she was pregnant (big surprise!) and she had my little sister when I was 10 yrs old.... yeah, we're all 10 yrs apart :)

Like I said I grew up in Simi Valley. I had lots of friends in the neighborhood. Some were from church some were from school. But it was a great place to grow up and I have so many great memories from there. I'm sad my parents had to sell the house but that's ok.... the memories will last a lifetime. I was lucky to have my elementary school, Garden Grove, down the street and the wonderful Sequoia Park right next to it. I went to Hillside Middle School then on to Simi Valley High School. I started playing basketball in elementary school and played up through high school. I loved playing basketball. I graduated from Simi High and went to college at Moorpark College where I got my Associates. I had an awesome young adult ward and a super fun Institute. I have so many good memories from there.

Well sadly, everything I knew had to come to an end. My dad's business was struggling and he was having issues with the contractor he went through. So it was time to close up shop and move. And where to? Tooele, UT of course! My brother had actually been living there for over 5 yrs and I had visited a couple times and knew it was smaller than the place I came from. But I was really done with the guys in CA. Most of them jerks and I just needed something new. It was funny we ended up there. We had looked in Logan and that surrounding area..... Layton, Kaysville..... just a bit of everywhere. But Tooele was the place for us. My dad moved up here in April 2005 to find work and our whole family came up in August 2005. I was actually excited and I should have been because as you may have read in my 5 yrs post, I met the hottest most amazing guy ever....aka... my husband

So I am now in UT, married, with a kid and a dog and a house. I love the church and have a stronger testimony than I ever have. Life is good. We're not rich and we don't even have a lot of excess of money but we have enough for what we need and enough to pay our bills and pay off debts. What more can we ask for really? I love the weather up here (surprisingly) and I don't think I've ever been happier in my life. I love going to museums, zoos, aquariums..... any place that is fun and educational. I grew up doing those things and I hope my family learns to love to do it as much as me. I love to go to places I've never been. Even if its just local. It's fun to explore and have fun as a family.  I love watching movies I'm kind of a clean freak. I've done pretty good with it considering we have a kid now who loooooooves to make messes. Luckily she loves to help clean them up to.... at least for now.  So yeah... I think that about sums me up....day 1 down!
