This week...... and your fav musician and why.....
Well this week has been fun filled! We'll start with Sunday.... church.....always a good day....its hard to remember that far... maybe dinner with my family too? Oh yeah we did because we had Costco pumpkin pie for dessert! So yummy. Monday we got to spend time with Scott's family. We had dinner at his Aunt Cindy's. His cousin Liz was out with her hubby which we had never met. So exciting to see them and meet Paul for the first time. He is a perfect addition to the family. Great sense of humor. I love all of Scott's family. Probably because I really don't have anyone besides my parents and siblings close by. But it was so fun to see them. We miss them already! Tuesday we went to eat at Over the Top Yogurt Shop for the first time and LOVED it. Wednesday we ate at my parent's again... Mimi's Cafe french onion soup.... it was sooooooo good. Love when my mom makes that. Thursday I had worked on cleaning the bathrooms really good. I borrowed my parent's shark steamer and it is incredible. I love it and it cleans like no other. Friday we had date night with Charlotte. Scott had an American Burger coupon from work so we ate at the American Burger in Grantsville then went across the street to Over the Top again for more yogurt. It was really yummy... again. Then we came home and decided to move our living room around. It's all changed up and so is our kitchen and things feel so much more open. We've also decided we're not gonna paint for a while and we're gonna finally hang up stuff on our walls. Then I cleaned all day today with the steamer and totally reorganized and de-junked our office/extra room. Our house looks pretty amazing inside right now. Still have some more to do on Monday but I got all baseboards cleaned up and pulled a lot of stuff out to dust behind. So nice. We also got to go into SLC to have dinner with the Bailey's. Scott knew Chad in high school and they've been buddies. Chad is actually part of the story when Scott and I first hung out. His wife Jonna caught my bouquet at our reception. They are awesome and have a cute little girl named Sloan. So they made us the most amazing dinner. Homemade potstickers..... naan with an amazing peanut sauce and chicken and mozarella. Then for dessert rice with custard and some coconut stuff and mangoes... it was so good. Steve and Vicki came and so did Ashley. We always have fun with them and were so glad we got to spend time with them. So that was my week.
Now a favorite band and why.... this is just a horrible question for me to answer. I love music and I love bands......I could narrow it down to 4.... I think. The ones I could listen to for hours. First is:
No Doubt.... amazing.... really. I love all their albums and they are just incredible live. I've seen them at 2 concerts... in the pit right up front twice. Then I saw them on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Where they basically do a mini concert... 2 songs for the show and then like 4 or 5 others for those of us outside. It was AWESOME!
Second:
Jimmy Eat World... another one where I can listen to any album and be completely satisfied. They are such talented musicians and never disappoint me. I could go on for hours.... also amazing live. Been to one of their shows.... and it rocked of course.
Third:
Paramore. First heard them off my warped tour cds... '07 maybe? Not sure. But I love bands with chick singers...the Donnas, Dance Hall Crashers....and they are just as great. I love all their music so far. Really liking their most recent album. Lost of good stuff. Haven't seen them live
Fourth:
Less Than Jake. First listened to them in 8th grade and loved them. It just so happens to be one of Scott's favorites too. They are just classic. I love just listening to them and have really liked their last couple albums. I have yet to see them live too. Maybe if they ever come to SLC. I think they would put on a great show.
I do have to add one more I just remembered:
New Found Glory.... loved them for years. Lots of good albums.... lots of fun covers.....awesome live! They played with ND at the Pond in Anaheim. I got Chad's guitar pick and basically could hardly breathe at one point because he was standing on the fence thing in the pit right in front of my face so I was being suffocated from his shirt. But they are all hilarious and put on such a great show and have so much fun up there.
So I could go on for hours about the many bands I love. But those are just a few :)
