So I finally finished the two 30 day blog challenges. Kinda fun for a bit then I got bored with it but finished it anyway. Made me think a lot. But looking back at some pics on my camera I realized I've missed a few things. So here's an update of this past month.
First, we rearranged some things in our house. We gave up on painting and decided to keep everything white. I had borrowed my parents steamer and was cleaning like crazy. I got on a cleaning kick. So we got around to moving our hutch, the couch, end tables, entertainment center. I also got rid of the book shelf holding my cooking books and cleaned out the cabinet above my stove to move them there. Then I moved my little computer desk into the kitchen. I have kinda been thinking ahead so when we have another kid I have a little more room in that back room we've got. So moving things around made it feel much more open and roomy which is nice since right now we only have 1100 sq ft in our house that's finished. It gives it a much better feel in our living room and dining/kitchen area. So anyway... now to my pics. When we moved the hutch we found this:
My dog, Toby, likes to strip his tennis balls. He doesn't like the fuzz on them so he strips 'em and Scott probably tossed it on the hutch then it fell behind there and stuck. I couldn't believe it.
Next is Halloween. We technically celebrate on Saturday the 30th since it is UT and we keep the sabbath day holy. I didn't dress Charlotte up. Maybe that makes me a bad mom but when its just us and her I think whats the point. This is her 2nd Halloween and still no costume. Last year she wore a pink onesie with glow in the dark skeleton and a pink heart on it. This year on the 30th, nothing. But for Sunday she had a shirt I found at walmart for $4 that said wickedly cute on it. I forgot to take pics of our decorations but I think our house looked sweet. I had a bunch of those jars I made from ourbestbites.com and put glow sticks in them. Then I carved 4 pumpkins and used glowsticks in them. I did spiderweb arching over the gate opening to our walkway then across the fence. I also had a black light and a strobe light courtesy of my parents. I thought everything looked good and we got a lot of trick or treaters. I actually had Scott pick up more candy. But it was fun. I was so tired that day though cuz I was up late the night before cleaning and getting all my chores done. Then Scott got a couple Lagoon tickets from work and Sat the 30th was the last day they were open for the season. So he suggested me and my sister go to just spend time together. We had a blast. I can't handle theme parks like I used to. I took Bonine the night before but it still didn't help. I eventually couldn't take a whole lot. But we got lucky. Rain was a threat and it was cooler so it wasn't very crowded. We actually left a little early then I took Chloe up to Zupas since she had never been there. She loved it of course because its amazing. Then I took her home and I had to go home and start decorating. It started raining which sucked but eventually died off before a lot of kids came around. I also was making cupcakes for my sunday school class to celebrate. I used the chocolate frosting from http://www.ourbestbites.com/. My friend Megan recommend it to me and I finally made it. Yeah, heaven in frosting form. Not too sweet but good and chocolatey. Amazing. So I was up late making cupcakes and trying to plan my lesson and clean up. It was such a long day and I was super exhausted come Sunday and still had to finish my clean up from the night before while Scott had meetings. That's the life I lead without a dishwasher right now. So then Sunday we went to my parents for dinner. They had invited us over earlier that week. So we got to hang out and spend time with them. The weather was amazing so we got to play with Charlotte outside for a bit. So here's those pics.:
I love my little girl. She is such a sweety and so much fun. I also love these jeans on her. They are probably the most expensive pair I've bought for her. I think they were about $17 but they are levi jeans, they are thick and sturdy and have an adjustable waist band so they'll fit her until next summer. I love the pic of her facing the mtns. What a beautiful backdrop. Then I have a couple of her by my parent's neighbor's miniature donkeys. He recently moved the goats over a bit and now the donkeys have a bigger area. They are so cute and little!
Now I have just 3 other pics I wanna share of Charlotte.... and her blankey. I don't know why she loves this blanket so much but she does. Out of all the blankets I have for her she picks one of Scott's old ones... whatever. She's so silly. But these are of her just playing around. Look at her chompers now too! She has so many more teeth than she did like 2-3 months ago.
