Well I have some new pictures to post. We've had a few things going on so trying to keep up to date I figured I better take the time and blog it out.
It's been kinda crazy getting ready for Christmas. Waiting for Scott to get paid and see how much money we have before we can do some Christmas shopping. I was trying to take advantage of Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals that I got through pinching your pennies. So I got Charlotte set and Scott. My dad is done, my sister and just about got stuff for my mom. We still need to shop for Scott's parents and gotta get Rick one more thing. We do a gift exchange with Scott's cousins and I've almost got that taken care of. I had some Disney movie rewards I cashed in some points on stuff for Charlotte's gift. I had some Wells Fargo rewards points I cashed in on something for my gift. The theme is something you can't live without and the limit is $5. I'm also pairing what I got from my Wells Fargo points with something I have stashed at home. I think some of Scott's cousins may read this so I don't wanna give it away! But I stock up on this item either once a year or every other year. So I think I'm going to take something from my stock and give with this other thing since I paid for it all in other ways and a long time ago. So we're not out much. Love rewards points!
We've been decorating a bit and my parent's were nice enough to buy us a tree this past Sat. We got it all decorate and put a few lights up. We won't have lights on our house again this year. I'll have to see if I can buy more on sale this year. We didn't have enough like I thought. Which is fine. It's still festive. Charlotte loves it.
Oh I almost forgot... I was sick this past week. So Tuesday evening I was totally normal. I ate dinner did dishes then went jogging. I actually pushed myself a little further and jogged 3/4 of the way around the park then once all around the neighborhood. It felt good. my endurance is building up. And I love having my ipod there to sing me songs along the way. So I get back and started feeling a little dizzy. In the shower I kept falling over and having to catch myself from hitting the wall. It was weird. I felt sore all over but thought that was from shoveling from the day before with all that snow. Well I could not get warm at all. My wet hair made it worse. I tossed and turned all night. I was shivering and felt so horrible. I cuddled up to Scott to get warm in the wee hours of the morning. Once I did I was too hot. My temp went up to 102. I was dying. That morning I managed to crawl out of bed, throw up, and get Charlotte up. I got her some cereal, turned on a movie and laid on the couch feeling terrible. It was awful. I laid her back down around 10 to see if she'd take a nap then I laid in bed feeling horrible. I threw up some more and was just miserable. I didn't have any medicine to take for the ache and I couldn't keep anything down anyway so it probably didn't matter. I had to have Scott come home and the guys at his work helped him a lot to get him out of there quicker. The first thing I had him do was give me a blessing. I was so desperate to have some kind of relief. I just cried and cried. It was horrible. So after that Scott got Charlotte up (who never did nap) and went to Walmart to get me ginger ale, saltines, and some flu medicine. By that afternoon I ate like 3 or 4 saltines and had a can of ginger ale and did a little better once I got some medicine in me. I'm so lucky to have a great ward and had dinner brought to us. I couldn't quite handle the soup but had a roll and some peaches that night. I was still super queasy and could hardly take a bath and climb into bed. Scott was awesome and Charlotte was so good for him. Poor Scott had to get my toothbrush so I could brush my teeth in bed and I had to lay down to take out my contacts for the night. He basically had to wait on me hand and foot and was so patient. Luckily the next morning I felt so much better. A little weak and queasy but so so so much better. Just so glad I survived and that Scott and Charlotte avoided it.
Oh one other thing before I get to pics.... Charlotte had her 18 month check up... even though she's 19 months. I think they messed up on scheduling but whatever. So we took her in and she weighs only 22 lbs! Still 10-15th percentile for weight. She's a tall 34 in which makes her up to the 97th percentile now for height. I never remember her head size but its usually been around the 30th percentile for that. She's good and healthy. She got her flu shot and hep a booster. So she's set until her 2 yr appt.
Now onto pics. These tell some other stories.
One day while sitting down at lunch with Charlotte she was just being cute so I took some pics. The top right I love. When we ask her how old she is she'll hold up a one. The two on the bottom left she was shaking her head and I caught a couple pics. She just always bring a smile to my face. Can't wait to have another one of these little buggers.
The far left top is a normal scene. Toby begging from Charlotte. The other pics are after Charlotte's nap this past Sat. She was there when we brought the tree in but I decorated it while she napped so she was pretty excited to see and touch everything.
We don't have a ton of decorations but we'll build it up over the years. Here's some pics of what we put up. I bought garland on sale at Walmart last year and put that up. Got some lights up in our windows. The stockings are hung. I have 2 stockings. Scott's Grandma made me one to match his and then made Charlotte one last year. I bought some wine glasses from DI and put sand in 'em and just change the other contents as the seasons change. You can also ignore my temple pictures that are crooked. Cheap dollar store frames do that and I have to fix them from time to time but it beats paying like $10 a frame!
Yesterday William Aaron Spence was blessed. So we went to Aaron and Malia's ward to see that. I got some pics of William in his little outfit. Scott's Grandma Bennion made this for him. I love the coat tails. Even got a pic of Rick holding him. He was a little unsure of holding a baby but little does Rick know he'll make a really good Dad one day. Scott was the same way and felt so awkward with babies and he was awesome with Charlotte. I also had a couple pics of Charlotte I of course had to throw in. Love my little girl.
So anyway... I think that catches me up. I hope at least. I know there's lots of festivities coming up so I gotta keep up!
