So last night Scott and I were able to go to the Jazz game. My dad had gotten 4 tickets through work and thought it'd be nice for me, Scott, my bro and sis to go. Well last minute my sister got in trouble and wasn't able to go so we called Scott's brother, Mark and he met us there. Scott and I went to dinner at CPK with my brother and it was so good, as always. They even have whole wheat dough now so I got that and it was yummy! We also picked up a couple Jazz shirts. Yes, that's right. I bought my first official Jazz shirt. Our seats weren't the greatest but I can't really complain when its free. I actually didn't mind the nosebleed seats too bad. It was kinda nice to see the floor from up high. You can actually see plays being run and how the floor is spread. It was a nice change. The Jazz looked a little off. It was kinda tough to watch at some points. They couldn't hang onto their lead very long but enough to win.Scott actually just texted me and told me that Millsap dislocated his finger last night. Ouch! Oh and they played the Charlotte Bobcats. I do enjoy going to the games though. Its so funny to hear what people say around you and just fun to see it all played live.
It was also really nice for Scott and I to kinda have some us time. The only time we've been without Charlotte the last 6 months or more is if we were going to the temple. So it was a nice little break. I'm really looking forward to Saturday. Since my bday is coming up we decided to go out Sat for my bday. We'll leave when we get Charlotte down for a nap so my sis doesn't have to watch Charlotte as long. Normally I like to pick and plan stuff out but its been so long since Scott and I have been on a date and since he's planned it so I told him I'm leaving it up to him and he can surprise me. My guess is we'll probably eat at The Roof because we're part of their frequent diner program and on your bday you get buy one get one free so my guess is that's where he'll take me. Oh and the best part about that program is Scott's bday is two days after our anniversary so we know where we'll be again in May! So I'm really excited to see what he has in store for me. I'll try to take some pics.
Sunday I'll be celebrating with my family. Since the Super Bowl has been pushed back from Jan to Feb it just so happens to always fall around or on my bday. Kinda hate that but it makes it easy to get together with my family so it works. Then we get to look forward to NBA All-Star weekend the following weekend. Not sure if we'll do anything for V-day since my bday is the week before. If we do it'll probably be with Charlotte.
Oh yeah, so I get on these kicks sometimes. I like history when I get to physically see places and learn about the past that way. I wasn't such a big fan in school but one of the coolest trips I ever got to take was in 8th to DC. We got to go to Gettysburg and Williamsburg and see lots of stuff in DC and it was incredible! I'd love to go back. I can't remember if I mentioned before how I want to tour the Mormon Trail. I've been planning it out. My goal is to plan it all out and figure out a rough cost so in a couple years maybe it can happen. We'll start out by driving to Keystone, SD because I've always wanted to see Mt Rushmore and it would break up the drive to Nauvoo. Then we would drive to Keokuk, IA and stay there. It's a short drive to Carthage and Nauvoo from there. Then once we took a day or two to see Nauvoo we'd drive the Mormon Trail back. So when I have time when Charlotte's sleeping I map it out and find websites and museums. It's fun to plan and can't wait to do it someday. In the meantime I got a book from the library about historical markers here in Tooele County. Some places we can visit here in town and some a little more of a drive but as spring comes around they'll be nice little trips to take on a Sat and will only cost us gas. So hopefully we'll be able to start doing that in the next month and get some pics up.
Well.... that's my update for now. I will also be doing Karly's challenge of 28 days why I love my lover for the month of Feb. So you'll probably see those posts the next few days until I post stuff after my bday. Hope everyone has a good start to the month!
