Seriously... I'm always tired. I wake up tired thanks to Charlotte totally messing with my sleeping schedule. Even if I get 8 hours total it doesn't feel like it because it was broken up throughout the night. Like today for example I slept about 7-8 hours but it was broken up. Then I had to get a couple more ingredients for a dessert I'm making for our ward bbq tomorrow. It needs to sit over night. So we rode the bike to Walmart and they didn't have the great value heavy whipping cream. So then I went to Macey's. Not sure if they make a Western Family brand but there wasn't one there. So I had to spent like almost $7 on the bigger thing of heavy whipping cream. So expensive! Anyway, we came back and I feel like I rode all over town in 100 degree weather. It was only in the 80s and really nice but I am so exhausted! I don't know if its pregnancy sinking in or what. But I feel so exhausted.
I feel like I haven't posted much recently so I figured I need an update. I've been busy with lots of doctor appointments. I'm down to once a week with the chiropractor now and feel a million times better. He thinks I'll be good in two more visits. This past Tues. I went in for bloodwork. They also did a little education. They used to do it all at the first visit but its nice to split it up. Oh and they did a pregnancy test and at first it wasn't showing it up but after a minute or two it did. The nurse said I'm probably just really early in the pregnancy which I think I am. I think I'm just shy of 5 weeks. According to their chart I'm like 6 to 6.5 weeks now and due Feb 15th. But they'll probably do an ultrasound at my first visit with the dr in 4 weeks and measure to see what the baby is measuring at. Oh and I only got slightly queasy when they drew blood. I have tiny little veins and drank a TON of water so they were nice and hydrated. The nurse was struggling to find it and when she poked she couldn't get it at first then luckily she found it. Whew. I'm never good with blood being drawn. Oh and I found out I can take Zyrtec for my allergies. Hallelujah! My allergies had been driving me nuts! So I survived and go back July 20th to find out more about the little bug.
Scott's been busy working hard as always. Charlotte is Charlotte. She's so goofy. She has this thing with licking my cheek. She thinks its hilarious. She is so smart. She knows all her colors and can say so many words. She's putting more words together now. My favorite is when she says "Daddy... are you?" for Daddy, where are you? It sounds so cute. She tells Toby to sit down and will say "it go?" for where'd it go? We have her read a verse from the scriptures every night. She does pretty good with some of the bigger words. Most of the time its hard to get her to even repeat words back so we have to say it like a monster or a mouse and usually that works. She refers to herself in 3rd person a lot. I love hearing her say her name. She is so adorable when she says it. She loves to talk and sometimes jibber jabbers about a ton of stuff. She says blanket like "babe-it" so that's what we call it. We tried to get her to say grandpa like pop pop off of Arrested Development. It seems more like pa pa but it works. She says grandma like mam-ma. She can say the names of all her cousins and aunts and uncles. She loves to jump. Jump on the bed, jump off stuff, jump in the air when she throws a fit. As of last night she's not terrified about sitting on the toilet. Progress! I really hope to have her potty trained before the new baby arrives. So the fact that she'll climb up on the toilet and just sit on her seat is awesome. Sometimes she'll tell me when she's peed or pooped so I think she's getting ready. Hopefully soon!
Lets see... we also had a nice Father's Day. My parents invited us for dinner then a day or two later we found out Scott's family was doing something at his grandparents too and it was about the same time. We decided to go to his grandparents for about an hour then we'd make it down in time to my parents for dinner. Little did we know so much family was gonna be there. One of Scott's brothers lives in Ogden and we don't see his family that much and they were out and so was his little bro who lives in Provo. Then some of his cousins were up there too. It was so good to see everyone and we really wished we could have stayed longer but had made other plans. I was bummed and wished we could have spent some more time there but oh well. Maybe we'll have another opportunity soon.
I think that's about it for an update. I can't remember much else right now. Oh we did get the fence taken out of our front yard. Thank goodness. There are still some poles that need to get pulled out but it is already looking better. We'll eventually need to till up the whole front yard and probably take a few inches off our dirt. There are so many rocks. It'd be easier to just get rid of some of the dirt and have it hauled away then get some topsoil and plant our own seen. Sod is too expensive. So it may not all be finished until at least next year but it'll be nice when its done! I can't wait to have a yard. I should have some more pics to post after this weekend. We're gonna go to the zoo on Saturday. I love the zoo! I just hope its not too hot!
