Long Monday

So recently we've been struggling with Charlotte sleeping through the night and getting sleep ourselves. Sometimes I'm lucky if I can get 4-6 hours. I need 8 to be happy and function properly so I haven't always been in the best mood or been very patient. Well last week Monday had been a very long day for me. By the time Scott made it home I was done for the day. It was just one of those days. Charlotte had not had a nap so Scott laid with her on the bed and got her to fall asleep. I decided I needed to get out of the house. Normally I'm not one to venture off alone but I wanted to hike a little so I went up Middle Canyon and found an area to hike. I found a stream. There wasn't really a trail so I just had to kinda hike along side it. Eventually I came to this:
Some big rocks that this stream was coming over. So when you see something like this you think... hmmm... I'd like to climb that. Well at least that's what I thought. So I tried. Tried is the key word. The first time I tried got me looking like this:
Nice right? Yeah, I slid, got muddy and hurt myself a little. But I got back up and tried the other side. After I had walked a ways I figured I better start heading back. I checked the weather and at the time we had been having some random severe thunderstorms and it looked like some could eventually roam into the area. I didn't wanna get caught in one if it headed over my way. Right now there is lots of greenery up the canyon and I really just wanted to lay in it. So I set up the camera to try and get a pic. Minus the dampness, it was quite nice. I figured I was already dirty so no biggie.
As I headed out of the canyon in my car I could see this

Good thing I wasn't on my bike! I love thunderstorms and I love weather so before I made it to the golf course I pulled over and climbed this little hill and snagged this picture of the storm
Then this one of some low clouds by the T
And this one of some flowers on the hill I climbed
Then shortly after I got a call from Scott making sure I wasn't stuck out in the storm. It was a much needed break.
