I guess after that would have been Halloween. I found a sweet deal on amazon for candy so I got good candy way cheap and it was just enough with some to spare. It was 200 pieces of candy and we probably had at least 150 kids come around because we just gave one piece each since there are so many kids around here. My sister came over to go with me and Charlotte trick or treating. Chloe and I started watching Hocus Pocus while Scott drove Charlotte up to his parent's house then over to his grandparent's house. They got back just as it was getting pretty dark so we decided to head out around 7. We didn't go to every house. I mainly went to people's homes we knew and even then we skipped some. I just knew Charlotte would try and walk the whole time even though she was tired. So we went around most of the neighborhood then went home around 8. Now even though we let her eat some candy you would think after those little legs walking around our neighborhood so far, she'd crash and sleep all night. Wrong. She slept so bad. She didn't fall asleep until after 10 then woke up at like 1am. Scott had gone in there but he really needed to sleep so I took over and was up until like 3 or 4 with her. I was so exhausted the next day. Not sure why she had such a rough night but it was a pain. Then we woke up to snow! Kind of crazy. I didn't expect it the next morning but so it goes!
Next thing I can think of would be the YW volleyball. They had their last regular season game last Thurs. They won of course. First place in our stake! Then region had started that night too but since our season wasn't over we couldn't participate in pool play so they just stuck us at the bottom of the bracket. We played a Grantsville team the next night. They were pretty good but our girls had some amazing hits. We lost but seriously could have beat them. I think we were kinda thrown off not being able to do the pool play. Plus the people in charge of region were really rude and not very friendly toward us (but funny how they were towards Grantsville where they are from). The ref gave me total attitude when I'd sub in girls. Especially the first time because I did it wrong. Our whole season we had been telling the ref who would do the sub. Not the scoreboard because our ref who is also the Stake YW sports director said that's what she wanted us to do. And our sports director is so awesome and nice and has so much fun with the girls. And this other lady was all uptight and mean to us. I was like geez. Sorry I'm trying to get all my girls playing time. Region wasn't a great experience this year but the girls at least got to play one game and it was their best game ever. So proud of them!
Alright... next.... Friday morning I got a call from a member of the bishopric asking to meet with him Sat. at 6:45. Pretty random time but I guess they had stuff to take care of before Sunday. Well I was super nervous because the only opening I knew of at the time was RS presidency and that kind of freaked me out a bit. They wanted Scott to come with me too so I knew it'd be a presidency thing. So I stressed about that all day Saturday. Even while at a baby shower for a girl in our ward who was friends with Scott in high school. It was a fun shower too. And I found the cutest dress for their little girl. I should never be allowed into Old Navy. But the dress was so cute! I couldn't resist! Anyway, I even won a game! Yay! And got a lot of awesome little kitchen things I seriously needed. I don't know if I've actually ever been to a baby shower out here. Not that I can remember at least, besides my own. So that was fun but once it was over the stressing continued. So we went in to meet with a member of our bishopric and as soon as I heard the words young women a big wave of relief washed over me. And even better, it was the calling I had before! Second counselor! Yahoo! I am so excited to be back in there. I feel more prepared and feel like I'm capable of doing more this time. I've learned so much from my other callings. I was kinda bummed to not be able to complete the course for teacher development. We only made it 7 weeks out of 12. I feel kind of bad to leave my class now but I really enjoyed teaching them and learning from them. The Sunday School president said he was sad they were losing me already when I just started that course but I guess technically I've been a Sunday School teacher a year and a half. So I will also be done with the RS committee too. That release hasn't happened yet but I think it is this next week. I talked to the new YW pres and I'm really excited to get back in there and work with the beehives again. I even get two more beehives before the end of the year so I've got this month to get them ready to come in. I am just so excited to be back there again. Scott is still technically serving as secretary of the young men's presidency but we were told he will be released from that soon so we don't have to worry about Charlotte coming to mutual or picking who can stay. So we're not sure what new adventure Scott will have soon but it sounds like its coming quickly. They have made lots of changes with callings in the ward. And it sounds like many more to come. I could go on forever how I'm super excited for this calling again. I'm kind of glad I'll have something to keep me a little preoccupied before the baby comes (as if the 3 things I was doing before didn't :)).
Kinda random but exciting.... my parents got a kinect! Its really fun. We were over there Sunday for dinner and I went and tried this dancing game with Chloe and the sports game and adventure game. It was really really fun. Kind of hard to do some of it while pregnant. Jumping around isn't the most comfortable thing with my huge belly but seriously fun!
Yesterday I had my dr appt with my ob/gyn. All is well. I only gained a pound and a half since my last appt. Yahoo. I've gained like 14 and a half pounds I think total. So not bad. He said if I stuck to about 25 I'd be good. He joked around and was like, let's see, you're 38 weeks and you've lost 50 lbs. If only. nice try Dr. Vered. So the heartbeat was good. He just warned me about preterm labor. He told me about a couple of his friends who are both dr's. The hubby an er dr. and I can't remember what the woman was but she started having contractions around 27 weeks while on vacation in NY and window shopping in Manhattan. She just pushed it out of her head not thinking much about it but then realized she needed to get to the hospital and it was too late to stop the labor so she delivered a baby really early while on vacation. He just wanted to make sure I pay attention to my body and that even doctors who should know better don't always listen to their own bodies. I have braxton hicks all the time. Like multiple times a day. He told me that although books tell you there is a difference between braxton hicks and normal contractions there really isn't. The only difference is your cervix will actually dilate with a real contraction which you won't be able to tell on your own. So if I ever get 4 contractions in an hour he told me to drink water and just sit and relax. I'll have to be more careful about that because seriously, I have them all the time and sometimes they are kinda close especially if I get a little stressed about something or I'm cleaning. So I guess I just need to be more careful to make sure I don't go into labor early even though my chance is super minimal. Oh and in 3 weeks I get to take my glucose test. Joy. At least I know I can lay down and Scott will be there so I can survive.
Alright.... now Charlotte bug. Still getting so big. Haven't started potty training yet. I was waiting for volleyball to end and most chaos as well so I can be home and focus on her. Probably next week I'll try. My schedule looks free and clear so I shouldn't have to go anywhere. She talks like crazy and is super funny. She sleeps a lot better. For the most part she sleeps through the night. If anything she comes in after Scott leaves. Getting her down is kind of a pain and we need to change that process eventually but it works for now. Her favorite things to watch are either Elmo (Sesame St), funny videos (AFV or something similar on netflix), gagga mo (Yo Gabba Gabba), or Dinosaur Train. She's kind of backed off of movies for now. If anything it might be a sing along or she loves to watch mom and dad (the video Scott's cousin and her hubby put together for us for our wedding and they later even added some footage from our wedding day at the temple and reception). Charlotte loves to see our pictures and gets really excited when she sees the temple and says she wants to "go back." We'll definitely have to take her there for the Christmas lights. She's cute though. So glad she loves us so much. As shown in the pics from last weeks post she loves playing bball with her dad. Well anything with Scott really. She just adores him and loves to climb on him and jump on him. She's getting him ready for a little boy for sure. We sure love her. Even if she sometimes resembles a child that needs an exorcism when she throws a fit :) She can be so sweet but if you get this girl mad she will let you know. She is gonna be one tough cookie when she's older but hopefully not for us as parents. Hopefully she'll be the kind of kid to stand her ground and be able to take care of herself and her younger siblings. She has a very different personality from most kids I've ever seen. She probably resembles my little sister the most and she was a tough kid. I took some classes in college where you talk about kids and personalities and things. How to deal with them and what not. But Charlotte's personality is so different. I've just never encountered a little kid so headstrong. Lets hope we can do our best to keep her on the right path her whole life because if we can, she will be one amazing leader someday and could do a lot of good.
It's so hard to try and remember all that we've done. I've tried to be better because when we look back and read back on what's happened in our life, I want to be able to remember it all. Anyway, I'm sure I'll have more updates soon. There is always something going on. For now I'm super excited to work with the youth again and Scott and I even get to go to baptisms on Friday with them. It's been a while since we've been able to go together to the temple. We could always use that time. So yay for new adventures!

You're life sounds busy and so much fun! I would love to be in YW... we just got called to nursery though but seriously it is like my dream calling...
Nursery would be so fun! I love any primary stuff. I would have been happy just as a primary teacher. But YW it is! I forget how much I miss those girls.
