Charlotte 3 years old

On the 28th Charlotte turned 3. I can't believe she's already that old! And not potty trained (grrrrrrr....). Hopefully soon. So that morning we started out with a birthday donut from our favorite place, Nigh Time. We hardly go there so this is always a treat. Scott's parent's were out of town and Scott got up at 7am to go let their dog out and Nigh Time is on the way so that made it convenient  especially with Charlotte sleeping in that day. I thought it'd be fun for her to blow out candles and she didn't want to. She said she was scared. I tried.

She was loving her donut though. Usually she eats the top off and she actually ate almost all of it.
Had to snag a picture of our little man. Love this boy!
We had thought about doing something during the day but wanted to get some yard work done so we spent a couple hours outside just cleaning up our yard a bit more. Charlotte ran around like a wild woman then ate two peanut butter and honey sandwiches while Scott and I finished up. This was her just before 3pm when I was about to take her to my parent's.
We were just doing a small bday party for her at our house. Since Scott's parent's were gone we didn't bother inviting his brothers and their families. Especially since 2 live outside of Tooele and gas is just ridiculous right now. My brother wasn't going to be there either so we kept it simple. My parents were going to take her over to the park to play while Chloe and I set up the party. We thought it'd be fun to make it like a surprise party. I had asked her a couple days before what she wanted for her bday. At that point I still hadn't gotten her anything. She didn't tell me what she wanted but said she wanted a Tangled party. So my mom got her a Tangled cake from Soelberg's. Then we ended up getting some other stuff and surprisingly didn't have to go to SLC to get stuff for a Tangled party. Walmart actually had stuff. I was amazed. That never happens.

So Chloe and I picked up the cake and got some balloons and set it all up. We put a balloon on the door so Charlotte would see that and get all excited to come in. This is what she did when she walked in the door and saw it all:

I think she was surprised. She loved everything and was so excited. As soon as she got there Scott left to go let the dog out again and grab pizza for dinner and ice cream because me and my sister were awesome and forgot it while we were out and about earlier. Go us!

After dinner she had the option to do presents or cake and ice cream. She was really excited for her cake so she chose that.

She got all freaked out when it came time to blow out candles. She was scared again. :) You can see the video at the bottom.

After that we did the presents. We had bought her a little pool. It stayed in the garage because it was too big to bring inside. Then she opened up everything else. She got a ton of stuff. My mom and I went a little crazy when we were out shopping and besides Jackson, Charlotte is my parent's only other grand kid here in UT so my mom is always willing to spoil her a little bit more. First she got a Disney princess memory game.
Then she got a toy for some of her Littlest Pet Shop animals that my mom had given her as an early bday present a few days before.

Then I got her some kid yard tools so she can do stuff when Scott and I are in the yard. She always takes this smaller broom we have and is trying to help sweep outside. So now she can do more.
Then she got a ballerina Barbie

And some Disney and Hello Kitty squinkies. I'm not a fan of squinkies but she loves them and I am finding them all over the place. Literally everywhere.
She's obsessed with chapstick so she got some Hello Kitty ones.
Plus some Tangled pjs and Hello Kitty pjs and a Hello Kitty towel she can use when she goes in her pool. Also a shovel and pail to use in her sandbox or over at my parent's. She likes to play in their dirt. Weird girl.
Here's the video of Scott blowing out her candles. It automatically pulled up the one but the youtube one is below that. It's a little clearer and larger. So you can pick.

And this was her later on. She crashed on the floor before we could finish getting her ready for bed. Poor kid. She didn't have a nap though.

I think she had a fun day. She was loving all her toys and I just hope she realizes how much we love her and how special she is to us. Even if she has a bit of an attitude some days :) Oh and Monday she went in for her 3 y/o check up. She isn't a big fan of the dr and didn't cry too much. We were able to get her to stand on the scale herself. She is 30 lbs. Then we kinda had to help measure her. 37 inches tall. She's 80th for height and I think 30th for weight. She is overall healthy. We just need to work on getting her to eat more veggies. I'm thinking in smoothie form. But we are making sure she takes a multi-vitamin to be sure. We're also going to work on the potty training too. Other than that everything is great and she is awesome. Didn't even need shots. Everything else will come before kindergarten (like I can imagine that!).

But we love our little girl. She is so smart and just so funnny. Like yesterday when we had fhe with the Proctor's and we asked Charlotte what reverent was and she yelled quiet. Go her. Way to tell us. She loves to help Jackson and is pretty good about keeping him busy while I do a couple things and he lays on the ground. He loves her and smiles at her quite a bit and is always looking at her when she talks. Love my kiddos.

Anyway, Happy Birthday to my 3 year old sweetie! We love you Charlotte stink bug!
