9 Months

The baby is 9 months now. Holy moly. I can't believe its already been 9 months! He had his check up yesterday. Weighing in at 18 lbs and measuring out to 29 in long. 15th percentile for weight and 90th for height. Story of my kid's lives. He's looking pretty good with everything. He isn't saying da da or ma ma much. Which isn't really out of the ordinary but we should hear it within the next couple months. All I had heard before was ba ba ba. Of course today he's made 3 sounds I haven't heard him do really. Na na, ga ga and I heard a little da da in there. Punk. So he'll get there. His tear duct on his left eye is still clogged. The the doctor said some like to take care of it around 9 months but he wants to wait until 12 months. Give it a chance to see if it'll open. If not he'll refer us to an ophthalmologist at Primary Children's and they'll do the procedure to open it up. Keeping my fingers crossed it opens on its own in the next 3 months so I don't have to pay for something else! He had been sick but that looked like it was clearing up fine. He got his Hep B booster and 1st flu shot. He'll go back in 30 for dose two. He said they're anticipating a bad flu season this year. He said its hard to really predict but according to past cycles we're due so if not this year next. I gotta make sure we all get ours soon.

So the appointment went well and he's all good. He's turning into quite a funny boy. He crawls at amazing speeds! I've never seen a kid crawl so fast. He stands up at everything and is starting to cruise at the couch. He loves to play with his sister. He likes to crawl under and over whatever he can. He still loves to feed himself. Still only the one tooth. He's starting to clap his hands. He's still a pretty good sleeper. Mostly sleeps through the night. Sometimes will get me up. When he hears music he starts to rock back and forth. He smiles a ton. He is the happiest little boy and loves to smile. He loves to see Scott when he gets home. It's cute how excited he gets. When I was out Christmas shopping with my mom we found these super cute dressy vest sets at Sears and bought one for Jackson. Oh my goodness he looks so dang handsome in it. I forgot to take a picture because him and I ended up going to church late. Jackson had gotten up 20 min before church started and had to eat lunch. I knew there was no way he'd eat fast enough. So next time I need to get a pic. He just looked so dang cute all dressed up. Love my little Spence boy. He really like Yo Gabba Gabba. If I need to get some stuff done I can turn that on and keep him busy. He'll crawl over and stand up at the tv and just stare right at it. He's such a silly little boy.

Here are some of his most recent pictures:

I was cleaning up from Halloween and of course Jackson has to check it out. This boy smiles so much. He's such a happy little man.
Scott was laughing at this. Gotta love the sleeping baby with his hand in random positions. Yeah, naughty little boy. Just like his dad! :)
He loves to play in his room. He likes to play with the blinds and try to see what he can out the window.
This was while he was sick. I was starting some laundry and came down the hall to find this. Charlotte put her princess crown from her Halloween costume on him. Poor kid.
Scott brought this hat home from his parent's. I think he said his mom had bought it for William but didn't notice the size and it was too small for him. So Jack Jack got it! Which actually comes in handy. He has a small head and its 6-12 months and I don't have a hat for him for the summer. With his fine blonde hair he can use one!

This boy loves the bath but makes me nervous how often he stands up in it. But isn't that such a cute face?
