Scott's been busy with the same 'ol stuff. His calling keeps him busy making phone calls and scheduling. He's been busy with work too. Working long hours. Which is fine because we've had dental bills to pay. Most of it should get paid off this Fri but I have to get part of a tooth filled that broke. Hopefully not too expensive. At least its not a crown. Then they're going to file down my front teeth. They've always been kind of uneven . So they're gonna even it out so hopefully I don't have any issues in the future. Charlotte also got checked but she screamed the whole time so they couldn't clean her teeth. But no cavities so yahoo!
I've been keeping busy with the usual house stuff. Cleaning and tons of laundry. I swear laundry just never ends. That's what netflix is for. Watch something while I fold away :) I've got a good chunk of Christmas shopping done. I still have to get Scott's gift. My parent's and bro are gonna chip in for it since it's kind of costly and when they asked for ideas I told them what I was going to do and we decided to just go in together for it. In case he reads this I won't say what it is yet. I got Charlotte, my mom, and my sister taken care of. Still not sure on my dad. I think Scott had ideas for his parents we just need to get them. I'm going out Fri with my mom and sister to get stocking stuffers. I think my mom was doing some Christmas shopping too. My goal is to be done before the month ends but we'll see how that works.
I also had YW volleyball going on this past month which kept me busy. Monday afternoon practices and Thurs night games. I only had to bring the kids to one game. Scott was usually able to get his schedule to work. There was one night for region where he had to work until 7 so I had to take the kids to my parent's. Region was pretty sucky. We had a bad experience. Not really anything that was our fault. Basically this team we were supposed to play didn't show so they had to forfeit but come to find out they claim they were told the wrong time. It sounded like either they heard the wrong time or were told the wrong time. I don't know why they didn't sign up to get the email but that would have shown them the right time. So they thought they were playing at 8 but were supposed to be at 7. They asked the region people to push the times back but they refused and said it stands as a forfeit. At first I felt kinda bad but then the coaches husband was like trying to guilt trip my girls into fighting the region for it. Then he told me and our YW pres that they were region champs in bball and vball last year. So I stopped feeling bad. It sounded as if their ward lives for region and nothing else. He said his wife plans for this all year and what are they supposed to do about their party they had planned for after. I don't know. Still have it. I just don't get why people take church sports so seriously. Then parents of either less actives or non members came in and they almost had to call the cops. My girls were all stressed out and upset and then we lost. I think they wanted to be done. A lot of them said they don't want to participate in region next year if we're eligible. I'll leave it up to them. There was a lot of crap that went on that night and for that coach's husband and that ward's bishop to try and guilt us into basically taking our girls out of it was not cool. I had never felt that way while at a church activity. When we repeated the theme before the next game I was feeling better and the bad feelings were gone until these parent's came in between sets at our game when the cops were almost called. I was so frustrated for my girls and just told them to forget the stuff that happened and just to have fun. That's basically what happened without going on forever. Ugh... last Friday was no fun.
Well I think that about sums up our October. Oh and a picture of my hair from after Halloween. The pink is washing out still.
