So Thursday was a much better day than anticipated. Fri morning I headed over to the hospital and got checked in and got to drink the barium stuff for the contrast. It wasn't as awful as the last kind I had so that was better. I just sat and read a book while sipping on my lovely drink. I also got to chat with this girl Heather that has done all my ultrasounds with my kids and did my most recent one. She just happened to walk by and was chatting with me. She had mentioned how my dr wanted to rule out a pelvic kidney before he went in there. Hence the CT scan. Then she was telling me how she knows the girl that Rick has kinda been dating. She was telling me how sweet she is and how awesome she is. And I guess she really likes Rick a lot. Hopefully we'll get to meet her soon. I guess she works at DownEast and they're having a sale. Maybe I should head over... hahaha. But it was nice to chat with Heather since I was just kinda hanging out a while.
The tech doing my CT had a heck of a time getting my IV in. She couldn't find my veins in my arms. She tried my left hand twice. She was digging around pretty good and let me tell you, that is NOT pleasant at all. I am amazed I didn't pass out! She did have me lay down at one point because I wasn't sure if I'd start getting queasy. I knew I could handle the pain because it'd only last so long and it couldn't be any worse than the pain I was in for! :) After about 20 min or so of trying to get an IV in me she called in an ER nurse. Those ladies can always find my veins. They're so quick and so used to working on so many people I'm sure it was cake. She was done in like 2 min. Amazing. So after being there for about 2 hours at that point we finally got the CT underway. It was quick and painless. I was hoping to hear back last Friday what the results were but haven't heard a thing. Maybe today? I don't know. I hate waiting to find out the results. I already know I have to have surgery and I'm over that but my body is just doing some weird stuff so I'm anxious for answers. Keeping my fingers crossed that I get some answers today!
