She was sleeping on me and smiling a bit. Well being a mom is pretty fun. Still trying to get into the groove of things but we're getting there! If we have plans to be somewhere in the afternoon it seems like it takes me all day to be ready close to on time. And "on time" doesn't really mean much right now. I can try so hard to be on time but charlotte always seems to wanna eat right before we go even if she ate not too long before. Or there is when I change her diaper right before we leave and she likes to pee while I'm trying to put a new diaper on so then it could mean a whole new outfit. One day we'll get it down. I've just learned to just take my time and not stress. I'm having a lot of fun with her though. It's amazing to see how much Charlotte has changed already. She is such a sweet baby and pretty easy going. She let's anyone hold her right now and is fine. She really only fusses when she gets bathed, changed or is hungry. I've been really lucky so far. I bring her into bed with me around 4 or 5 in the morning. Usually when Scott has to be to work. She sleeps a little longer so depending on how the night went I can usually get a good 3 straight hours when she sleeps with me. It's wonderful. I just gotta try not to make it a habit so she'll stay in her crib more. Although she is for all other naps and at night. Hopefully it doesn't hurt.
Well last week we took her to the dr and everything is great. No more lights for her jaundice. Her levels had dropped and her eyes are finally starting to look a little more normal. She's in the 95th percentile for her length, 30th for her head (she's getting there!) and still 15th for her weight. He says she looks healthy and is doing great so we go back the end of June for her 2 mo. appt. I also had my WIC appt. WIC is gonna save us. Money has been super tight so now that we can get help with some groceries we should be doing better. At the appt. they had to weigh me and charlotte and everything. Charlotte has gone up to 6 lbs 12 oz! We've almost made it to 7! Yay! she should start fitting in some of her clothes better! Woohoo! Although now it's getting so hot she's like in onesies only.
I'm just so glad to have my little Charlotte here with us. Best choice Scott and I made was to become parents. We're loving it. We might be singing a different tune when she can walk and talk. I think it'll be kinda funny if she ends up how Scott was when he was little. From what I've seen on videos he just had a lot of energy to use. It'll be fun to watch her grow and develop. We better just enjoy every minute of it!

She is just adorable and SO long!!!! I don't think my children wille ever be in the range of the 95% for length. *smile* I am so glad you are loving being a mom. And no worries with her sleeping with you. I let Carter sleep with me quite a bit during the night. It just was easier with nursing and getting sleep...and I am happy to say he sleeps very well in his own room in his crib for naps and all night - enjoy her littleness - these babies change and grow so fast! Can't wait to meet her!
Don't wish her life away at all! You'll be saying " oh i wish she could crawl or talk" but she'll get there. Enjoy every moment of her! I agree with what Megan said. Enjoy her little. She'll eventually sleep in her crib.
We still are never on time for things! Not sure that part gets much better...maybe a little, but something is bound to happen every once and a while that will make you late! Definitely enjoy her being little! Once she starts walking, you will be wishing she was little again so you could sit down for more than 5 seconds! (Maybe that is just my kid...who knows :) ) Love her expression in that top picture!
