So we have been pretty busy the last little while so I haven't been able to get to a computer to update much.Things are still going well. Charlotte is now 10 months old. So crazy to think her bday is next month! Then we get to go to Cali in May! Woohoo!. Oh and Charlotte is officially weaned now. I had been struggling with her to nurse the end of Feb. She just would nurse for a few seconds then sit up and just didn't seem interested much so the more I read about it I just felt like it was time cuz she seemed like she lost interest. So no more nursing for me! Charlotte still isn't crawling but pulls herself up all the time and can cruise a little. Her "crawl" is more like a dragging her leg under her. She gets around and loves to make messes. Luckily with an unfinished basement there is only 1100 sq ft for her to cover and I already had stuff up thanks to Toby so it's not so bad. Charlotte also is getting her second tooth. Yay!
Scott and I have both taken up coaching for the young men/women basketball season and Scott is playing for the men so we live at the church most of the week. We have church Sunday, I practice with the yw on Monday, Tuesday is the boys games where Scott coaches, Wednesday is mutual night for both of us, Thurday I help coach the yw, and Friday and/or Saturday Scott plays with the men. Kinda crazy but we love basketball so we enjoy it. The men are in double elimination and have only lost one game. The ym should be starting their tourney soon. Then my amazing yw are undefeated and only 2 of our 7 have ever played bball before! They are awesome! Love them!
So I'm trying to get healthier. I want to lose more weight before Cali and just be in better shape so we got my bike in working order and got a seat that goes on the back for Charlotte. I love riding around with her and seeing new things. It got kinda cold again so I've kinda slacked off riding but we've been out walking a bit more. I can bundle her up better in her stroller. I just really love being here in Tooele. Lots of scenery to go biking and walking and so many cool little stores in what they call "downtown." Scott and I always laugh at the "you are now entering downtown" and then a couple blocks later seeing "you are now leaving downtown." So tiny but some cool places. I love sweet pea boutique. So many cute things there. Good way to help the local economy. Anyway, I haven't posted pics in a while so here's a ton below... enjoy!
For some reason I've kept all our winter stuff like gloves, scarfs and beanies in a basket in Charlotte's room and she loves to go through it and Toby is nosy and has to be where she is so here are the two causing trouble. Charlotte also likes to close the door and sit right behind it and cry so I can't get her out. I have to sneak my arm around and try to slide her out so I can open the door. Fun stuff.
Just a pic I got of her... I love her so much
This is why they don't make lead paint anymore. She's not teething or anything... crazy girl. I think Toby is wearing off on her.
She loves her baths and loves her daddy so she was very excited when I took this pic
I should get pads for these corners. She is a magnet for them. Good thing my hand is there cuz she is purposely hitting her head into it. Punk.
She likes to lick the ground for whatever reason. I really need to clean our carpets. Hopefully before we go to cali.
Playing in the bath.
One of her tricks is waving. She loves to wave at people when we go to the store or pretty much anything.
The two trouble makers again. He's so good with her. She grabs at him and he just lets her. She loves him too.
Another faux hawk I gave her after her bath when we went to Scott's game. Her hair is starting to calm down now. I have to enjoy the last little bit of fro I have left
She loves to cuddle with Scott and is trying to do so here while she's eating dinner
Here she is about to pull herself up to the table... she is also wearing her super cute Nikes
Here she is playing with her toys and there is nosy Toby in there of courses
She loves to drop stuff off the table while eating and here she decided to wave at it. Her and the waving... so funny
She loves pulling herself up to the coffee table and flip through her baby pictures.
When it was a little warmer I decided to take her to the park and try her in the swing. She liked it ok. We'll have to try more when it gets warmer.
This was the first time I put her shoes on her. She was unsure of them. I pretty much just put them on her when we go bike riding for warmth and protection and when it's cold and we walk. Hopefully her feet don't get bigger so she can wear them when she actually walks.
This is a close up of her shoes. Mark and Ashlee had bought these for her. She just looks so cute in them and they're so tiny! I love 'em!
Here's a pic I just randomly took. I just think she's the prettiest little baby. I love her so much.
This was while we were out riding one day. I had to order her tiny helmet online and she looks like a doll in it. I love riding around with her.
I wanted to get a pic of the both of us. Me and my cutie
I don't remember what she was doing but I think she felt stuck on her tummy like she couldn't move with the shoes so she just kinda laid there. So goofy
This was a pic I took while we were out riding. It's looking over the Great Salt Lake. It was kinda windy so you could see the wind kicking up salt out there. I love the views in Tooele.
This was a day when our somewhat warmer weather disappeared and storms moved in. Snow was kinda sweeping down the mtns. It looked pretty cool.
This past Sat. Scott stayed home with Charlotte and I wanted to walk the Smelter trail on Smelter Rd. It was kinda cold that morning but so pretty. I found some trails around the area and it was a pretty good walk. I even jogged a little and was very very sore. I thought all the uphill I did on the bike was hard. I was so much more sore from my little walk/run and it was about 4.5 miles. I had biked 6 miles the day before and maybe half was uphill.
Kinda gross but there was a random hoofed animal leg in the road. My guess a deer or something similar.
I saw this cool little tunnel thing that had graffiti but looked like a cool place to take pics.
I found a trail and decided to walk down it. I saw all these leaves with frost and thought it looked cool so I took a pic.

She is so cute! Now I know where Kyson gets his crazy hair...it must be a Spence gene...his hair sticks up just like hers.
