So yeseterday for mutual I took my Beehives to the historic Beehive house...fits well! We had so much fun! And a great learning experience. The house is incredible and just beautiful. All the little details that go into it. Crazy! But now I'm like all excited and wanna go to all these other historical sites. I really wanna take Charlotte up to This Is The Place. There is so much to do there. There is just a lot of historical places in Utah I really wanna visit. So hopefully as Charlotte gets older I'll be able to do those types of things with her.
Well our weather has turned colder again unfortunately. Which is kinda ok because I need a new tube in my front tire and just haven't had time with Scott so he can help me put it on my bike so I'm not missing out on too much. I just really hate when it was like 75 degrees then it was snowing this morning. Luckily the snow was so light nothing stuck and it didn't even snow that long but the fact it was cold enough to do so. I want the warm back and it may not happen for at least another week. It was really pretty yesterday morning though with the rain. I got a pretty good shot of a huge rainbow out our back window. That pic is below.
So I'm really excited for tomorrow. My mom and I are headed into SLC to do some shopping. I need some garments and temple pics for my girls. I also need dog food and diapers and something to wear to Ashley's wedding so we're going everywhere tomorrow. We're trying to keep it in West Valley and Sugarhouse and South Salt Lake so hopefully we don't burn too much gas. It's so expensive! I may wait to get more gas at Costco. So much cheaper there. But it'll be fun to get Charlotte out. We're hoping to eat lunch at Whole Foods in Sugarhouse which I am stoked for. They have amazing food and I'm on a search for some things I can't find at the grocery stores in Tooele... like Ezekiel bread. Oh and we're gonna hit up this Mexican market for these little jelly fruit type things. We used to get them in Simi and they are so yummy. I hope we get 'em!
Oh man I'm getting hungry. Scott should be off in an hour and I'm trying this strawberry bread recipe. It looked really good when they made it on tv the other day so I thought I'd try it. It smells yummy. We had pizza left over from Scott's work for dinner last night and Charlotte ate it up like crazy! She basically ate a whole piece minus the crust. It was incredible. She did it again for lunch today. Amazing. Tonight we're having steak fajitas. Not sure what Charlotte will eat. I hope I can get her to eat baby food. She doesn't like it as much anymore. She likes big girl food. Well I have whole wheat flour tortillas so I guess I could do a quesadilla pretty easy but she needs more veggies. I dunno... she's a goofy girl and just so sweet. She was "being soft" with me today. I was laying on the ground in her bedroom and she had just been throwing this fit while I got her dressed and I was kinda frustrated with her. She wasn't super pleasant at breakfast either so I decided to just take a beather and relax a min. before I started cleaning and my little sweetie comes over and is petting my head all softly like she does with Toby when I tell her to be soft. It was so cute.
So really good tip. When pulling stuff out of the oven. Avoid touching your arm to the oven rack. I just burned myself pretty good. I can already see where my skin is like melted. Thank goodness for that aloe vera plant I got for mother's day from our ward last year. It's grown a ton and is really gonna come in handy. Ouch! Wow... this strawberry bread is very yummy. Well technically I'm eating a muffin. I only have one bread pan so I used the rest in a muffin tin and mini muffin tin and the mini muffin's are done already and they are quite good. Let's see... here's the link: http://www.ksl.com/index.php?nid=204&sid=10399657
Anyway, I'm gonna post some pics below then I gotta get cooking dinner. Try that recipe... seriously so good!
While I was trying to put groceries away Charlotte found the need to crawl into the fridge and help move some stuff around then try to climb on the shelf. So silly. This was the rainbow we saw out our window yesterday morning while eating breakfast. So pretty.
On Tues. night the young men had a bball game and the other coaches wife made choco chip cookies and she gave one to Charlotte. As you can tell she loved it.
When Charlotte is ready to get out of the tub she starts to either put toys away herself or hands them to you to put away then she figured out how to pull the plug. Little miss smarty pants.
She loves to crawl around the house and just get into things. She likes my drawer in my bathroom with the curling irons. I caught her about to get into stuff here.
I got the girls to take pics with all the statues. It was raining and really cold but those girls are a blast and were all over taking pics even if we were gettin soaked.
This is infront of the reflection pool. You probably can't see but in the back there was a mom, dad and little boy who must have just been sealed and they were doing pics in the rain. I bet they were freezing!
We had walked all the way to the front of the Joseph Smith Memorial Bldg only to find the sidewalk closed to we had to go through the JSMB and out the back way and go around the back of the lion house. It figured too the 2 minutes it took us to go back outside, it started raining harder. So fun.
This is the statue of Joseph and Emma. I think I took a pic of Scott here once after we ate CPK at Temple Square and we put the bag in one of their hands cuz it looked like one was getting paid for the food. It was funny.
