Great day!

Well today was a really good day! We got up this morning and decided to head into SLC to do a little mother's day shopping. We went to Tai Pan Trading. I hadn't been there until today. I've always wanted to check it out and what an awesome store! Lots of cool decorating stuff. Then we headed over to Gardner Village. I had only been there once with Scott when we were engaged for a wedding reception. I had no idea about the shops and stuff. So I finally got to check it out again today. There was a sweet store there that I was sure I could find my mom something. It was an all western store called Wild About the West. They had this sign I got her that said "Lost horse and husband. Reward for horse." Then after that Charlotte and I split a chicken pot pie at Naborhood Bakery. We had fun just walking around and enjoying the incredible weather we had today.

Once we got home I really wanted to go on a bike ride and I've noticed my endurance is much better so I decided to take on Smelter Rd. It's not bad distance wise but there is this hill. Just this one hill and it was a bugger. I had to stop like 3 times. It's hard with Charlotte on back. That extra 20 lbs is rough! But I did it! It was probably about 6 to 6.5 miles round trip. I am so proud of myself. If I can do that I'm pretty sure I can take on Droubay on the way back from my parents. It's basically like 6 miles of constant incline but the incline isn't super steep. I need to try it. But I finally did Smelter and I'm so stoked. Oh also, since I had Charlotte I've really been wanting to get some weight off me. According to the dr's scale I weighed 222 at the end of my pregnancy. My scale said 216. Once I had Charlotte I dropped down to like 197 almost immediately. It was easy to lose that since it was baby and fluids. So I started eating better and exercising more at 197 and today I weighed myself and I'm down to 175! Woohoo! It's been a while since I've been there. I just hope I can keep it up. Our trip is gonna be rough. Especially when we're trying to eat cheap and it may be a lot of dollar menus. But that's ok. It's a quick trip I can do it. So I'm hoping to lose at least another 10 lbs. I'm just really happy to be healthier and I really want to be in shape next pregnancy. I keep telling myself I'm so not pushing for an hour and a half again. I just want to be healthy. But I'm on my way... just gotta tone up some spots but we'll get there :)

Well I have some pics from today and a couple others of Charlotte. Hope all the mom's out there have a good mother's day tomorrow and even those who aren't moms yet. You will be one day so celebrate!

I just love the cute faces she makes

There was music playing so she started dancing in her stroller
Me and Charlotte at Gardner Village with all the pretty flowers
Scott and Charlotte on a swing at Gardner Village
Charlotte loves to point at things. I don't remember if she saw a duck or what but something in the water interested her.
We got lucky and saw a couple of deer on our ride. Charlotte kept pointing at them. Cutie
This is a pic looking out towards our neighborhood. It's just kinda cool to see how far I rode. It's really only like 3.2 miles or something close to that from our house to this point but it seems so far looking down on it from Smelter Rd.
I will always love the view of the lake in Tooele. Just another view of the lake and Stansbury Island
Charlotte had fallen asleep for a few and when she woke up she had lines on her face since she was slumped over on the bar... poor little girl. She's my trooper.
I just decided to get a pic of myself. I was really excited when I made it to the end of the trail. I so wanna do it again and brave the hill with 1 stop or none.
