Yesterday was a pretty good mother's day. We went to church but I took Charlotte home a little early. She had been up since like 6:30 and wouldn't fall asleep in my arms so I took her home during the last class to let her sleep. She needed a nap because we had a big day ahead with lots of family. First we went to Scott's grandparents for a nice little bbq. They have one of those little rocking horse things on the springs. She had fun on that. They also had a slide set up so her and her cousin Olivia were sliding down that and having fun.
Later on we went to my parents. When we showed up my parents had the horses out letting them graze on some of the long grass where their garden will be. So Charlotte got to pet the horses and we even set her up on Dove for a minute. She seemed to like it. Then we were checking out the baby goats next door. My parent's landlord lives next to them and has a bunch of animal. He had a ton of baby goats this last week and they are so funny to watch. The way they jump around and try to fight with eachother. We were just laughing so hard watching them. Charlotte was laughing too. Then Ken (their landlord) came over and picked up one of the baby's so Charlotte could pet it. They are so tiny and so cute. I didn't know this but baby goats are born with blue eyes. He has such pretty goats too. He still has like 14 more mama's that are gonna give birth so we should be able to see them for a while until he sells them. They are just a blast though!
But we had a lot of fun hanging out with both families. Scott and I love to spend time with our families. We just feel like sometimes we don't get to see some people a lot so it's always a good time.
On another note Charlotte had her 1 yr check up today. She's doing good... 18 lbs 6 oz. (only 12 lbs more since birth) and she's 19 3/4" long. She got her shots and did pretty good. Once I got her dressed she was over it. But all is well. We're getting ready to go to Cali! Woohoo! Next time I post will either be on our trip or when I get back.... I'm so excited!
Charlotte loves to point and I love this picture of her
Here's mouse. She's the mama. She is so sweet and just gorgeous. He coat literally sparkles in the sunlight
Here's one of the babies. There are quite a few but they are so tiny and cute. So sweet!
This is Dove. She's the baby. She is basically the same size as her mom but she's a little over 3 yrs old I believe. If I remember right her bday is April 26, 2 days before Charlotte's. She is a people person and loves attention from anyone or anything.
This is my parent's dog Jetta. Some of Ken's chicken's wandered over into my parent's pasture and she was being all cat like trying to sneak up on them. She is so funny. Sneaky dog.
Here's Charlotte riding bareback on Dove.
