The Zoo

So a week ago Monday we happened to have some very lovely weather. It was partly cloudy with a slight chance of rain and the temp was a whopping 50 degrees! As soon as I stepped out the door to take the dog potty I was like, it is warm! We're so going to the zoo! It just so happened to be MLK day so I called up my sis and asked if she wanted to come with me and Charlotte. It was the perfect day. There weren't many people there. It was just a great day to be outside in the middle of winter. I took some pics but realized I didn't take any of Charlotte. Oh well. I'm sure we'll be at the zoo plenty of times this year. There was this one peacock who kept spreading out his tail feathers and flirting with the lady peacocks. It was cool to see. We saw lots of animals and Charlotte seemed to really enjoy it. Hopefully we can buy a year pass soon so we can go more often. Oh yeah, and we had a crazy thing happen! We were in the reptile bldg and they had some desert tortoises. One was flipped on his back. We felt so bad and didn't know what to do and hadn't seen any zoo personnel close by. So Chloe decided to climb on this step and lean over to flip the poor guy. Luckily he wasn't super big. But she flipped him back and he was good to go. I felt so bad and she broke some rules but we had to help the poor guy! So anyway... here are the few pics I took.
