Little miss grumpy pants

I love Charlotte to death and I feel like the luckiest mom because she came to our family. But man, how is this my kid? She can have some serious attitude! Some days she reminds me of my little sister when she was that age. That scares me because I thought my sister was a monster then. Love her now but back then, oy.... she was tough! I guess the looks on her face come from me though... definitely a me face. So anyway, my mom had bought Charlotte some Toy Story little figures to keep at the house for her to play with. Charlotte always ends up having to leave with a couple. It's usually Woody and Jessie. So she brought them home Sunday and brought them to basketball practice on Monday. Sadly she had dropped Jessie and her head came off. Charlotte was pretty bummed but we hid it in the diaper bag until we could try and glue it. Well I totally forgot about it and the next day she dug it out of the diaper bag. So I told her to hand it to me and I'd fix it really quick. I plugged in the hot glue gun and looked at how I could glue her. It was such tiny connections and a total pain but I figured it didn't matter if it was perfect, just as long as Jessie's head was on. Boy was I wrong. These are the faces I got shortly after when Jessie dried enough:
I really wish I could have gotten a better picture because it really does not show the full disappointment in my attempt to fix Jessie. She seriously just stood there for a good couple minutes just staring at Jessie with the poutiest face I have ever seen. It was like I totally failed in making her happy. I just had to laugh and tried not to because Charlotte was clearly unhappy with my skills. It has been a couple days and she still comes over to me and hands me Jessie not saying anything but has that look of "this is not sufficient." I just tell her "Sorry, its the best Mommy can do to fix Jessie so you just have to play with her like that." Oh this girl makes me laugh. I'm sure she will be quite the character when she gets older and can talk more. So hopefully this fades and she gets over Jessie not being perfect. If not I guess I'll just have to live with the dirty looks for a while :)
