Day 20

Nicknames.... I don't know what it was with me and my friends but we always had nicknames. Especially when we'd write letters to each other. My life started out with Audie. My family always called me Audie. I also got Aud too. Then it turned to names like Audie on the Potty (or Potty for short) and Bullwinkle and Snoopy. Then to Sailor Moon and Nut (pronounced noot... the Egyptian goddess of the sky and heavens and also a mother figure). We'd always come up with nicknames. Then as I was older (like in the last ten years) my friends gave me names like Audder pop or Pod. I still get those. We don't talk as often but those nicknames still stick. I love it. Like how I call my friend Liz, Lizard Poo (I think she even got Poo for short) or sometimes just Lizard. I still refer to my friend Ashley as Ash Beast. Megan was pretty standard with Meg but I think sometimes even got Peg if I remember right. Then how Heather Marshall I would call Marshmallow. How is Marshmallow shorter than Marshall? I don't know. Oh and I loved how we reduced Kristy to K. Really? Lazy right? Nicknames are so funny but even funnier how they stick. I'll probably still call them by their nicknames when we're like 80. That's how it goes. Love all my friends and so glad we can put up with such silly nicknames! I miss them!
