Well I haven't updated much because its been crazy with my nieces and nephew out. Saturday the 16th was a busy day. I had been ridiculously sick Wed - Fri before. Still think it might have been food poisoning or something. I don't know but it sucked. Then Sat. I wanted to get out a little. I was sick of being in bed. Scott was going to go to a funeral in West Valley for this guy he grew up next to in Magna. He was kind of friends with the kids that lived there but their dad had passed away from cancer earlier that week. He was in the Stake Presidency of the Tongan Stake out in the valley. I had only met them a few time but they are such a nice, welcoming family. It's too bad his mission her on Earth was so short but he seemed to be loved by a lot of people. It was a pretty full house there. So we had that in the morning, then we went to lunch with Scott's parents and his brothers, Rick and Aaron. Charlotte was getting really fussy at the end. We wished we could have enjoyed our time a little more but it was nice to at least be out with them and spend some time visiting with them.
That morning my dad and brother were headed out to go pick up the kids from my brother's ex. She had stayed with the kids in Primm the night before. But my dad hit a deer on the back roads about 60 to 70 miles out of town. Go him. Thank goodness they didn't crash. It basically damaged the front right headlight. The whole thing was busted. It had a little damage to the fender and part of the hood was bent up. They were so lucky it wasn't worse and they were lucky to be in my parent's Yukon and not my brothers little car because it would have probably gone through my brothers windshield and not bounced off like it did on the Yukon. They couldn't even find the deer after. It probably ran off and died. So sad :(. So they had hoped to get the kids back home at 4 or 5pm but they had to turn back after the deer hit. The blinker was all messed up on the Yukon and not working right. So they had to drive back into town and wait for the Enterprise to open at 9am. Then Enterprise had like no cars. Nothing big enough to haul the kids and their stuff even though their website said they had a mini van. So my brother and dad had to go to the next one in West Valley and they gave them a suburban for $50 less since they had an accident. So that worked out.
So they really didn't get out until like 10 or so. Thank goodness my brother's ex didn't put up a fight about driving further. She didn't want to go all the way to Mesquite before which was why they left so early since they'd have to drive all the way to the CA state line. But after all that she said she'd meet them in Mesquite. So while all this is going on we had decided to go to Del Taco with my mom and sister for dinner and let Charlotte play in the play place. My mom had some quarters and we were getting stuff out of the machines and laughed when we got mustaches.
So fun. We called my dad after we ate and he would be home just before 8:30 and I think it was like 7 when we talked to him so we figured we'd just hang out at my parents and wait for the kids to show up. We also had to get ready for the big pineapple joke. A while back when we were over one Sunday, my brother had his son, Nolan, on the phone. My mom was telling him about the big garden we planted and he asked if we were growing pineapple. Yes.... of course. Who in UT doesn't grow pineapple? The weather is just so tropical... so we thought it'd be funny to get a couple pineapples and put them in the garden and let him "pick" them. Hahahaha... so funny. So when they showed up that was one of the first things we did. It was so funny. Nolan cracks me up. He's just a funny kid.
We didn't stick around too long that night. I was pretty worn out from the whole day and still not feeling that great. We ended up back there again the following morning for breakfast. I barely ate anything. Still not feeling good but I really wanted to see those kids. Scott stuck around with Charlotte until her nap time rolled around. Then he took her home to nap. I stayed and ended up laying on their couch downstairs a while to rest. Later on Scott and Charlotte came back for dinner. It was nice to be able to spend so much time with the kids that day. We tried not to stay too late. Scott had a short and busy work week ahead of him and had to be in at 3am the next day.
On Mon we decided to do a late bday party for Nolan since it was just a couple weeks before. We did dinner and cake and homemade ice cream. I was starting to feel a little more like myself so I was just glad to be able to eat decently and not feel so icky all day. Oh and we had also gone to Toys R Us earlier that day in West Valley so we could pick up Nolan's gift and my mom let all the grandkids have a $20 limit to pick something out. Charlotte got a slinky dog from Toy Story. She's been loving it. Spoiled little girl.
Tues. we just hung around. My mom was gonna take the kids to the pool but there was a chance of t-storms and we had some pretty crazy rain that day. It poured so hard and there was lots of thunder. After Charlotte's nap I had to drop Charlotte off at my mom's so I could go to my chiropractor appt. My back is so close. I have this one little spot that bugs me now and again but overall I feel a million times better than before.
Wed. was more on the crazy side. I had my first appt with my ob/gyn. I'll do that in a separate post. I'm really tired right now.
Thursday I had to go to Costco first thing to get diapers for Charlotte. So Charlotte and I went out there then we stopped at my mom's on the way home.
Friday was Lagoon day (separate post)
Then Saturday was Seven Peaks (separate post)
Today is our day of rest. Scott's cousin is blessing her baby tonight at their house so we didn't make plans with the kids so we're not rushing around. We just had a nice relaxing day of church and then a little family time with the Bennion side this evening.
So it's almost 5pm and I'm so tired. I'm gonna crash for a few before I figure out dinner. I thought I was good to cook again but I'm struggling still with some stuff. I really dislike food right now and wish I didn't have to eat. My problem is that with this pregnancy I can't eat much in a sitting but like an hour or two after I eat I'm starving again. It's hard finding snacks I can easily make. I've been living off of peaches and grapefruit since I hit up Costco. I'm just trying to watch my carbs because I think that's what's killing me. I need more protein to fill me up. But right now I hate cooking up meat. Can't win. So hope this food aversion thing dies off in the next 2-4 weeks. Oy. Anyway, I'm tired. I'll update the rest eventually :) (and add my pictures eventually too when my computer is not so slow!)
