Update on everything else...

Okay.... so the kids were only supposed to stay 2 weeks but we got lucky enough to hang onto them another week. So we went to the Pratt indoor pool one day then did the outdoor pool at Deseret Peak another. Then we decided to hit up the aquarium which was fun and worked out perfect since for $10 a person I got Scott and I year passes. It costs $9 for one visit. Yeah... sweet deal. Charlotte loved the fish of course. And I'm not sure if they did this just for shark week but they had the sting rays separated and the small ones were with some small sharks you could pet. They were so cute. After some fun there we stopped at Sconecutter for lunch. I hadn't eaten there in forever. Love their honey butter and cinnamon scones (thanks Barbara for introducing me to the yummy fattening goodness of those). Reminds me of the days of working at Lee's. Good times.

So then the next day we did Deseret Peak pool agian. Then Saturday we had our last dinner with them before they had to go home. It was an exhausting 3 weeks but we did a lot and had a lot of fun. Charlotte had a blast playing with Nolan and Izzy and keeps bringing up everyone's names. We'll get to see them again at Christmas so I'm sure Charlotte will love that.

After they left we tried to get back into our normal life. I think Charlotte might have been a little bored. I caught up with housework and picked up where I slacked off. I had my dr appt where we got to hear our lovely baby's heartbeat. Tues. I was sick. I puked a couple times. It was so gross and I felt so yucky all day. Then on Wed. we went with my mom and sister to Provo/Orem to do some back to school shopping for my sister. We were slightly successful. Charlotte was quite the pill and made it kind of difficult. My mom being as awesome as she is, gave me $100 to buy some maternity stuff with. Of course I couldn't shop with Charlotte so we had planned to go when Scott could watch Charlotte. Thursday I had a chiropractor appt and my back is doing really good. I get to wait a month now and hopefully be good for a while. Then Sat. Scott watched Charlotte and I went to Jordan Landing with my mom and sister to see if we could find some more stuff for Chloe and see if I could find some maternity stuff. I finally found stuff at Target. It is really hard to find cheap maternity stuff. I'm glad I have some shirts though for later when I'll be rather big. I had given some of my cheap stuff I got from Old Navy away and I'm still trying to find some other stuff I had. I looked in my tote in the basement but can't find the stuff. I found my jeans though! Once I got back I felt really bad. I had a horrible headache and it turned migraine. I've never been so bad where I've been sensitive to light but I was that afternoon. Luckily that night I was feeling better after some sleep.

I'm trying to think of what else we have been up to. Oh a couple Saturdays ago we did a yard sale for Scott's Grandma. She is now living in Pleasant Grove with his aunt and uncle since she just can't quite live alone anymore. She's had some bad falls so this way she can be near family still and not in assisted living or anything. They're selling her home so they had to get rid of everything she wasn't taking with her. We were able to get some neat things from her home. Scott had a lot of memories there so some things he wanted mainly for sentimental value. I like a lot of the old fashioned looking stuff. Plus a lot of our furniture is from my Grandpa Christensen after he had died and it really fit with some of the stuff we have. We took a couple mirrors, clocks, a little chair we're gonna use in the baby's room, an exercise bike, some shelving I can use for food storage, and a sweet cedar chest. I have had my wedding dress hanging on the back of our closet door which was in the way. You couldn't open the door all the way or shut it. So it is making my life a lot easier now and I know my dress is safe. I know we got some other little odds and end things Scott wanted. We've also been storing some family history stuff that they had saved and Scott's been looking through it. There's a lot of neat stuff in there he's been learning about his family. So anyway, we got some really neat stuff and the yard sale seemed pretty successful. I left early to take Charlotte with my family to Chuck E Cheese. We got to visit Scott's grandma the next day before she left. We're also hoping to visit her this weekend in PG. As long as Scott has a decent check we're gonna go to the cabin... hopefully!

Oh and there have also been the massive computer issues. Our computer would randomly freeze up but then it would be okay at my parents. It was really weird. Then it got to the point where I couldn't even get it to connect at my parents anymore. So my brother had checked it once over there before and couldn't see anything wrong. So I had him come down to our house and check it out yesterday. He just didn't get it. Then I mentioned how it had been working at our parent's but suddenly wouldn't connect to their wireless and so he though he'd try turning off the wireless then it miraculously worked. Go figure. The wireless on our laptop is messed up. So it is working really great wired right now. I'm uploading all my pictures online and then my brother is gonna wipe it clean and see if that helps anything. If it doesn't we just deal until we can someday get a new computer...hahaha... that makes me laugh. Computers are so expensive. There are a lot of other purchases I would like to make before we have to do that.

Oh one other thing is I have a new calling. I have been teaching the 14 and 15 year old and as difficult as the boys can be some days, I absolutely loved it. But now they want me to be the instructor for the Teaching, No Greater Call class. It's a 12 week course so I'll be able to get one course in before I have the baby. Until then they are going to have me sub for the 16-18 yr olds since their teacher just had a baby. I just got that message from the Sunday School pres. last night and need to call him back tonight. So I still get to teach the New Testament a bit then I'll be teaching the teachers. It seems a little overwhelming. Especially since I'm 27 and could be instructing people much older and wiser than me. But I think I'll learn a lot from it and I'm actually super excited to find out who is in my first class. It'll be a lot of fun. So yay for new challenges!

Okay so I think that is it.... oy... so glad to have my computer working for now and I'm really hoping for a relaxing weekend at the cabin. I might even get to go to a baby shower in Orem for a friend from CA. Hopefully I can get there. We'll see. But I'm just glad to be connected again.
