Labor Day and news!

Lovely lovely Labor Day. It is so nice to actually spend a little more time with Scott. Although I did ditch out on him Saturday morning. I took my little sister up to the Tanger Outlets in Park City. She had been looking for a hoodie and is super particular with her hoodies. The one we found was like almost $75 with tax but its really nice. It's Volcom and water resistant and the zipper is the Volcom symbol with an avalanche whistle on it. How sweet is that? Not like she ever skis or snowboards but if she did and happened to do it in the back country she'd have her whistle! I told her we should test it out by me burying her in the snow :) I'm such an awesome older sister! But I did get to watch some of the BYU football game with Scott. Well the good part because the beginning was pretty lame and slow. It didn't get good until the end.

I already told you about our Sunday. Monday was nice... well later on actually. Charlotte woke up at like 6 and was rather grumpy with us all morning. I made some almond poppy seed bread. We just spent the morning hanging around and wanted to get Charlotte down for an early nap since she was up early. So at noon she went down and actually fell asleep pretty quick. Once she was up we headed over to my parents. We were celebrating my brother's birthday from the 1st and my mom's which is today. My mom tried out this balsamic bruchetta with tomatoes from their garden and fresh basil too. It was really good. Then one of their neighbors brought over some homemade baklava. Oh man, it was soooo good. We had some yummy tri tip strip for dinner then for dessert we had Marie Calendars pies. Yum yum. I love their fresh strawberry pie! We had started talking about how we used to always play darts at my Grandma and Grandpa Zapka's growing up. I love to play darts with my Grandpa Zapka. That and ping pong out on their back patio. So my dad got to thinking and he still had our old dartboard that hung up in our garage a looooong time ago in CA. So he hung it up and found the darts and we played. I finally won the last game. I almost beat Scott once but the lucky guy got a bulls eye on his last turn. It was really fun though.

We did miss out on Mylee's little bday party though. We had already set plans with my family when we found out they were doing something for Mylee's birthday. So we missed that and some big news too! Mark called Scott a few min after we had gotten home and said he had some news to share with us which Scott guessed and I did when he was going to tell me. I'm so excited for Mark and Ashlee to have baby #3! Ashlee is due not far behind me either. I think Scott said March 13th or something like that. Then Scott's mom told him they just found out last weekend that someone else is pregnant. I haven't seen this person post anything yet so I won't say anything but let's just say the there are gonna be a lot of babies around!

Seriously, everyone is pregnant or just had a baby. We just had 3 babies within like 3 weeks of each other. Then Scott's cousin Logan and his wife Camille just welcomed in baby Sadie. It's funny because Scott and I have been iffy on the name Lucille or Lucy for short for this baby. We both think its a girl but have yet to find out. We were thinking about the other names we liked and Sadie was one we liked even before Charlotte came along but we knew Charlotte was supposed to be Charlotte. So we probably won't be having a Sadie anytime soon but maybe in a few years... who knows. So now we're looking at some other names. Evelyn was another but Liz just had an Evelyn. That could be confusing. All these kids with the same names. You'd have an army running at you at family events! Hahaha. We like the name Sophie too. We were looking through some names in family history books and liked the name Abigail too but we'd probably call her Abby for short and that's really really close to the name Ashlee wants if its a girl and I knew if Ashlee had another girl she'd use this particular name. It's so cute too. I think it was after someone in her mission. She had told this girl if she had a daughter she'd name her after her. I was also looking at the name Maisey. I think that's super duper cute but its not a family name. Not sure if Scott liked it much. But anyway, Scott and I have a ways to go before finding a name. If its a boy... that's a whole other issue. We haven't even thought about it because we don't think we'll ever have boys. Good thing we have plenty of time to decide!

But I digress! Gotta love the baby name process! Okay so 4 new babies that I know of and then one of Scott's cousins, Autumn, is due Dec as is another neighbor/friend, Kerianda. Then in Jan we have another baby in our ward due and she's 3 houses down. Then me in Feb. March we now have another family member and two other ladies in our ward. I can see both their houses out my back window. Then I'm not sure when the other baby will be due we just found out about but seriously! Baby party! Oh and if there is anyone looking to get pregnant, you need to come drink my water. No joke. All the women that just had babies or are pregnant are within like a 1000 ft radius of my home. I can see all their houses from either my back window or my front yard. Apparently this little part of the neighborhood/ward is having its own baby boom. It's crazy!

So yeah.... we had a good weekend and lots of good news. New addition to the Spence family is healthy and many more on the way! The Spence's are going crazy! So for Scott's parents that will bring the count up to 7 grand kids. Not bad considering Rick isn't even married yet. It's exciting to see the family grow so fast! Congrats again to all the family out there!
