Well things have been going good. I'm 28 weeks and feeling great. I start to go to the dr every two weeks now. Yahoo! Yesterday I had my glucose test.... not so good. I have tiny veins. I don't do great with blood draws. Drinking a bunch of sugary stuff on top of it does not help. I requested to lay down to help with it all. I figured I'd do best that way and prevent myself from passing out. The first girl couldn't find a vein so she asked another to come in. I felt like I was doing pretty good. She got in and said she got some blood but it was moving slow. I thought I could hang in there. She did the glucose test vial first to make sure I wouldn't have to drink that again. She told me I shouldn't have to drink the stuff again and they should be good. Then the blood stopped moving. She thought the tube might not be working right. So she asked the other girl for another tube. At about that time I had to put my knees up. It was getting rather warm. Then the nausea set it. She asked if I needed a trash can and I said yeah. I might throw up. Then it all happened so fast. Scott held the trash can and I puked up all my lunch. Fantastic. Once I was done puking I felt so much better. And I didn't pass out so that's a bonus. The girl said she was impressed how well I knew my body. Yeah, I'm good like that :) I laid there with some cool damp towels on my forehead and drank some cold water. Sadly not all my vomit made it in the trash can but at least it was easy to clean. I had been drinking lots of water ( I bet you love the visual). So a few towels got it up. Scott got some on his hand. Poor guy. He takes good care of me. So I don't know about the other blood tests. I swear it only gets that bad when I have to do the glucose test. It just makes me feel icky. Hopefully they have what they need.
I just met with the PA that day since its quicker to meet with her and I'm not too picky for my routine appts. She measured me. I'm measuring between 29 and 30 weeks so he's a big boy. Heartbeat sounded good. She just made sure I'm keeping myself in check with Braxton Hicks. Reminded me that when they become frequent I need to just sit down and hydrate myself. I still get them all the time but never more than 4 an hour so that's good. Max 3 and it seems like its when I'm stressed or at church. Weird. So other than my incident yesterday things are good. Just keep moving along!
