Charlotte the communicator

Oh my dear sweet Charlotte who drives me crazy at least once a day... she is quite the character. She amazes with how much she talks and its so funny to see her putting sentences together. When she's working on a really long one she kinda slows down and it looks like she's concentrating so hard. It's pretty dang funny. The best was the other day. It was like I was getting tattled on.

She was pretty naughty and wouldn't take a nap when she clearly needed it. I was tired and frustrated. I guess pregnancy does that to you. She wouldn't listen so she ended up losing all her stuffed animals off her bed and all blankets except a couple to keep warm while she napped. Of course she was extremely upset about it and my patience was about gone so all animals and blankets made it into a trash bag and tossed down the stairs into the basement where she couldn't get them. So after two hours of fighting she crashed at 4.. really late nap. So frustrating.

So it's like a quarter to 6 and I decide its time to get her up. I had a meeting at 6:30 for YW basketball and Scott was helping to coach the YM at their basketball practice that night. He made it home like 5 min before I had to go so I didn't have much time to talk to him. I totally forgot to tell him about her animals. I left while they ate and then 5 min later got a text from Scott asking if I put her animals in a trash bag and put them in the basement. I had totally spaced letting him know and I was like yeah... did she tell you that? He said she pretty clearly told him that I put them in a trash bag and put them in the basement. He couldn't believe how well she communicated it to him.

She is always saying things that make us laugh too. She'll come up behind us and put her arms around our neck and say "I love you so much" or "I love your hair" (at least she says that to me). Or she'll just put one arm around you and say "I'll be your friend." One of my most recent favorites was when she got upset about something and said "I'm sad. I want my dad." She looooooves Scott. When he's around they are buddies. It's all about dad. "I want dad to kiss it better" or  "Dad, put me on your shoulders."

She never ceases to amaze us. She is a smarty pants. She loves to sing. She loves to read books. She loves coloring and drawing. She loves her slide. She loves playing with her squinkies in playdough. She loves her tent and playing with her toys in there. And she still loves her showers. She talks about Jackson a lot and we talk about how she's going to be my helper when he comes. Hopefully that will actually happen :) Although our Charlotte bug is rather feisty and gives us a run for our money she sure can be a sweetheart and we of course love her. She's one of a kind and I'm so glad she's mine. I love to see her change and grow up each day. I can't wait for this little boy to come. He's gonna have the best older sister! Pretty sure she'll be protective of him someday :)
