New Years weekend

What a crazy weekend it was. It all started Friday. My mom and dad finally found a house. We had been driving around Wed and Thurs looking for homes and my mom had been emailing people with horse property for sale trying to see if they'd be willing to rent. Basically all the horse property is going into foreclosure and can't rent but it might give them some options once they can get a loan approval. They ended up in this little multi level home in the development across from ours. Basically we're at 490 e and they're 550 e so yeah... super duper close. It's like a 5 min walk and a 30 sec drive. Its a really cute house and will be perfect for a few months.

Friday we couldn't help with much. They had just gotten a key and were packing stuff. The kids had been out all Christmas break and were still around. My brother was driving them back New Year's Eve. Friday night we drove our to Pleasant Grove for a family Christmas party with Scott's family and cousin's. It was good to see his Grandma Spence. We hadn't seen her in a while. We need to try and visit her once more before I have the baby. It was fun to see everyone and the cute new babies. Next time we get together there will be like 5 new babies. So crazy! We didn't get back until late. Charlotte didn't get to bed until like 11 or 1130. We crashed.

We didn't get up until like 8 or so the next morning. As soon as we were up we got dressed and went to grab some donuts and headed down to help my parent's move. A couple people came to help and they got a lot of stuff moved that day. Chloe ended up staying at the house by herself that night and trying to get her room in order. We were exhausted yet again. The next morning Scott had meetings to be at so just Charlotte and I headed down. Since nobody would let me lift or move much I just did my best to help clean up or pick up trash or pack. Once Scott was done he came down to help. We headed back around 2ish to get Charlotte down for a nap and I had to go teach the young women at 3 (we now have church fro 1-4... booooooo!). That evening we came back to help some more. My parents ended up going back to their old house to clean out some more. There were cleaners and painters coming into the house starting at 9am Monday morning so we had to get everything out. My dad moved most of the stuff into the garage and Scott and my dad moved it all into the trailer Monday morning. I had to leave to go to my appt and Charlotte stayed with my mom and Chloe. We were able to rest a little more yesterday. Charlotte got a nap and then we went back over and I made dinner for my family.

So today I'm trying to catch back up on everything. I can't believe its 2012 already. I've been in a time warp all weekend. I have some laundry to catch up on and some cleaning to do. I've been so exhausted. I can't imagine how tired my parent's feel. The horses still have to be moved and one other garage cleaned out but that will probably happen over the next week. Some time. It'll be so nice when we get to move them permanently into a home with horse property. Until then its nice to have them close and know if I have an emergency or go into labor I've got family super close to help for the next 6 months. I'm glad this weekend is over. It was long and tiring but so glad we could help my family out. Such a crappy situation to be put in. I hope everyone had a great new year and I'm so excited to see what 2012 has in store for us. At least I know I have one major highlight next month to look forward to! :)
