Funeral

I've been trying to remember everything that's happened the last little bit. I hate getting behind on posting. Well on April 13 we had the funeral for Scott's grandma. It was a really nice day to be with family. We got to the church around 9:30am I think for the viewing before hand. It was a good turnout of friends and family. Once we went into the chapel for the service Jackson was ready to eat again so I had to take him to the mother's room but I could listen from in there. Scott's cousins all spoke. They did a great job. It was fun to hear about her life growing up and stories from all her grand kids. Scott said Charlotte was being pretty naughty in there so I sat with her in the foyer when Jackson was done eating. He was a pallbearer with his brothers, cousins and cousin's husbands. It was pretty cold that day but the church was right across the street from the cemetary so when the service was over we went across the street. It seemed fairly quick but I think that was to get all the kids and babies out of the cold. Then we had the luncheon at the church and the kids got to run around. They had some of her jewelry so we each got to pick out necklaces and one for our daughter too. It'll be nice to have that remembrance of her when we wear them.

After the funeral we went back and got the kids down for naps and then Rick and Aaron came down to play basketball. It was a really nice day to be with family and see everyone. Not necessarily the way you want to come together but thank goodness for the gospel and our knowledge of eternal families. We know this isn't the end of it and we'll get to see her again. Just a really nice day overall and it really makes you appreciate life and all our family and the precious time we share with them.
