Grandma Spence

Easter morning we got some sad news that Scott's Grandma Spence had passed away earlier that morning. She had been in recovery from some surgery she had a month or so ago. She was 83 and would have been 84 this September. We were sad to get this news but what a day to get it. The day we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior. Without his sacrifice we wouldn't be able to have eternal families. So although we will miss her so much we are so thankful that she is with her husband and her parent's and her sister. We know she is much happier now and won't have all the physical limitations that have been making life here on Earth just a little bit harder. And even though things got harder for her she always tried to play things off like it wasn't a big deal. She never complained about anything and was always so positive. I feel so lucky to have married Scott and been able to get to know her better. I lost all my grandparents a long time ago. The last would've been my grandpa Christensen about 3 months after we moved to UT. I am so thankful for Scott's grandparents and them just adopting me in as if I was their own. We've already missed the visits we had with his Grandma since she had moved out to PG to live with his aunt and uncle but even more so now. I wish we had more pictures with her but here is one of my favorites. It's almost 6 years old now. It turned into kind of a tradition for her to take pictures with her grand kids on their wedding day. So this was one of ours:
