Our Easters

Easter number one was Saturday evening. We went to Scott's grandparent's for an Easter egg hunt. There was a good turnout. The Hollars were there (and we missed the Leonards who are starting their exciting new life at Ft Bragg NC! ), Gary and Lori were there with one of her daughters and her friend (I'm horrible at remembering names), Scott's parents, Aaron and Malia and their kids, and Mark and his kids. I think that was it. So we did an Easter egg hunt for the kiddos then did dinner right after. It was fun to see everyone and see how much all the kids have grown. We even got to do a little birthday cake for Alisha who turned 17 on Monday. It was a really nice evening. We definitely don't get to see everyone enough but we love the time we do spend with them. Always a good time with the Bennions.

Easter was a crazy day. One reason is a totally separate post. I was up late getting ideas for my lesson. I had been so busy Sat and the couple days before I couldn't ever really find time to plan my lesson. I had to do that Sunday morning too and try to get ready. Scott had one meeting. We went to church but I ended up taking Scott, Charlotte and Jackson home early. They were short handed in nursery and Charlotte didn't want Scott to leave and since I had to teach we figured they could all go home and he could get the kids down to nap. After church I had to hurry home so Scott could come back for a couple board of reviews. It took me forever to get a few things done before we went to my parent's so I ended up leaving just as Scott was getting back around 5 or so. We waited for him then all walked over. We had a yummy dinner. Turkey and ham. Of course I didn't eat the ham :) Then after dinner we did a small Easter egg hunt for Charlotte. She had a lot of fun finding eggs again.

Once we got home we gave our hoop a shot and tested it out since the cement had been sitting a full day. It was awesome. Scott and couldn't be happier.

Here are some of the pics I've taken:
I think it was Friday night that we did Easter eggs. I don't think we had ever done them with Charlotte until now. She had a blast.
The genius I am used glass cup things to dye. Charlotte isn't super gentle so this one kinda cracked but it looked pretty cool in the end.
I guess the monster eggs were rather popular this year. Charlotte had fun decorating them with the stickers after.
I love her forced smile :)
This was her basket from the Easter Bunny. She scored.
These were her in the morning. She was still waking up trying to process it all.

These were her on her Easter egg hunt in my parent's backyard.
