Since our anniversary fell on Mother's Day this year we went out Saturday. We went to my parent's and I fed Jackson. Topped off his tank. I was going to pump but my pump isn't working so good. Not sure what's up with it. So I found some sensitive something or other formula (the last couple times he's had it he's spit up a ton of it so we stopped supplementing that while I'm at mutual) and left that with my parents. So they watched Charlotte and Jackson for us and we went downtown for a much needed date.
I had been sick since Wed afternoon and was feeling pretty awful but was so excited to have some time away from the kids i didn't care. I couldn't hear out of my right ear much and my chest hurt and my sinuses hurt and it felt as if my head just might explode. But I could still taste (the next night I couldn't). I had hoped to walk around City Creek if we got there early enough but we didn't. We had about 20 min until our reservation so we just decided to walk around the temple and go to the South Visitor Center to check out the temple model. I took a few pics. Not much. Really wasn't feeling too great. But dinner was really good. And we were kinda laughing at the newlyweds by us. How they had to get up together and wait for each other to get food before sitting down. Then these people behind us knew the people across from them and they were chatting it up and we overheard the people behind us say they were celebrating their 7 yr anniversary a day early like us. Crazy! The food was great and it was so nice to be out with Scott. And he's such a cute gentleman. He'd pull out my chair for me every time I came back to the table. So cute. And it is much more enjoyable going there when you're not 9 months pregnant. If you live up this way and are looking for a nice date I so recommend The Roof. Especially if you sign up for their birthday club thing. It's buy one get one free so with tip and everything we spent like $50 for the two of us on a meal that would normally be closer to $100.
It was such a nice night away for us. Much needed date night!
While walking around the temple I looked over and saw quail on the grass. Quail! I didn't know they came down this far. I had seen some up in the avenues a couple days before but never downtown!
I think these trees are cool looking then I noticed that's a pretty sweet view of the conference center.
Before we left I wanted to grab a picture of us and it wasn't too busy there that night so we sat by the reflection pool for a min. To me I look sick and I hardly had time to get ready. I had been busy earlier that day helping my dad with sprinkler stuff and then when I had to feed Jackson Scott was helping him and it was kind of a crazy day so I could barely do my hair and makeup when time drew closer. Oh well. The life of a mom :)
This picture is blurry but as we drove home I noticed the sun looked bigger than usual so I told Scott to grab a pic. Hard to do when the bugs on the windshield (thank you lake) make it all blurry and gross. But we got to see one beautiful sunset!
