4 Months

I can't believe this dude is already 4 months. Time flies! He had his check-up on Monday. He's weighing in at 14 lbs 4 oz and 26 1/4 in long. I looked up Charlotte's stats at 6 months and her's were 14 lbs 5 oz and 26 in long. Yeah, he's 95th percentile for his height and average for his weight. He's basically getting longer and skinnier. He's already wearing some 6-9 month stuff because he's so long. Mainly footed pjs and onesies. He's still ok in his 3-6 mo pants because his waist is smaller. I'm already looking into getting a new carseat. I think the one he's in is a 31 in length limit. So I'm sure by the end of the year he'll be in Charlotte's current one. Then I'm going to get her this 3 in 1 carseat/booster. It's top rated with Consumer Reports and not terribly expensive. I always check Consumer Reports for the car seats. I don't think you can put a price on safety. There are too many scary drivers out here. I know Charlotte's current one was rated really well which is why I got it. This one I wanna get Charlotte is awesome and can have her harnessed in up to 65 lbs and then in a booster up to 100 lbs. With her track record on weight she'll probably be in it until she's 8 when she doesn't need to be in a booster seat anymore. So it'll be worth the money.

Jackson did awesome at his visit. He didn't cry. He smiled the whole time and talked to the dr and even giggled when he looked in his ears. Giggled! Charlotte screams her head off like someone is trying to kill her. Big difference between these two. The dr told me I could start him on some rice cereal if I'd like but said since he's sleeping through the night I may not want to. It might make him gassy and wake him up more. So unless he starts waking up I probably won't start him for another month or so. He suggested around 5 1/2 months to start him on veggies and after about 5 days he can have fruits. Everything looks good on this guy and he's right on track.

He's starting to play with toys now. If you hold something in front of him he gets super excited and he focuses really hard on it and you see his little shaky hands try to grab it. Then if he drops it, he freaks out. He screams and cries and gets so mad. It's kind of funny. Today he had a cow when he dropped this plastic ring. As soon as I gave it back he was fine and stopped screaming. He's been in his exercise saucer a bit. He usually only lasts a few minutes there but it gives his legs a good little work out. He loves to lay on the ground and watch something with Charlotte which is great when I'm getting dinner ready. He'll usually stays there for about an hour so gives me time to get stuff done around the house. He isn't rolling over yet but gets up on his side. He smiles a ton and giggles sometimes.

I just love this guy. He is such a good baby and so awesome. I love that he sleeps through the night. I feel so lucky. Here's some of the pics I've taken recently.
