The kids

Some random pictures I've taken of the kids recently...

Back in the days of living in So Cal my family and I would go to this little town in the mountains outside of San Diego called Julian. Every October they have an apple festival. They have orchards and a cute main street in town with lots of shops and places to eat. But it is amazing. The whole town smells of apples. They make THE BEST apple pies (http://momspiesjulian.com/index.html) They have apple, apple boysenberry and apple cherry (along with others) and you can get the classic flaky crust or the french crumb top. The line is always out the door and we'd get like 3 pies or more. They are amazing. They also have THE BEST cider I've ever had in my life. I have never been able to find anything at the store to match it. Its just a really fun place to be and someday when we are out of debt we will save up for a vacation to San Diego in Oct just so I can go here again. You can go to some of the orchards and pick your own apples. We would and bring home bags of apples. My parents over the years ended up with two of these apple parer, corer, and slicers. Lucky for me they gave me one! I love them for making apple crisps or just to snack on sometimes. Charlotte loves it to make apple "donuts." It basically turns it into an apple spring and we just break it to make circles which she calls donuts. If you ever find yourself in San Diego in Oct you have to go to Julian. You won't be disappointed!

This is my dude's little faux hawk. His head gets dry spots so after his bath I'm always putting lotion on his head. I thought it'd be fun to try a faux hawk but his hair is so short still. Looks like a sprout. I think it makes him look more like Jack Jack from The Incredibles. 

 I laid Jackson down on the ground to watch something with Charlotte. I had cleaned Charlotte's bathroom and had to do ours so I was hoping to keep him busy while I cleaned. I came back down after about ten min and found him on his tummy. I swear I always miss it when he rolls! Little punk.

 Can you tell these two are related? They look almost identical when you look at Charlotte's pictures of  her at Jackson's age. So crazy how much alike they look.
