Lagoon

Yesterday was Lagoon day on Pioneer Day. It was a long day but really fun. We started out heading up to Lagoon with Chloe and Cami close behind us. They drove separate and planned to stay later. Scott's boss had an extra ticket which was awesome so Cami didn't have to pay for hers. Chloe, Cami, Charlotte (what's with the C's?) and I went in while Scott waited for the extra ticket outside. I took Charlotte on the carousel which she wanted off. Then took her on Tidal Wave. She was super scared on that. Poor kid. Next was the little dragon coaster and she was ok on that. Then we went on the kiddie swings and she wanted off that. After that Scott made it in and he took her on Bombora and I think that kinda scared her. Then we went on this other dragon ride. She was fine there and sat with Chloe. Then Chloe and Cami took her on Odyssea. I think after that Scott, Cami and I went on the log flume. Then us girls went on rattle snake rapids.

After that we did lunch. Rick came and brought a date. Her name is Amber and she's tall! She puts my 5 ft 8 in to shame! So at lunch we got to talk to her more. She's super nice and sweet. She was holding Jackson for a bit and playing with him while we finished lunch. She even offered to watch the kids so Scott and I could go on rides together. And we had just met her that day. Such a nice girl. After lunch we all met up with Mark and his family. They have season passes so they came down. We separated a bit to take Charlotte on a couple rides. Two of my favorites but Charlotte didn't want to ride with me. She wanted Scott. Eventually I ended up going on the rocket with Aaron, Mark and Ashlee. Rick and Amber watched Addy, Jackson and Ryan and Scott took Charlotte on flying aces. After that Scott and Cami went on rocket and Chloe took Charlotte on the water slide thing... can't remember what its called. I just watched Jackson and hung out with Mark and Ashlee. When Scott came off rocket, Charlotte wanted to go on the water slide again so he took her and Chloe and Cam went too. Everyone else had left and gone other places so I took Jackson under a tree on some grass and changed him and fed him then after that we left. It was about 4 and we needed to get back home for dinner. It was really fun to hang out with everyone since its rare that we're ever all together like that. Scott and I decided sometime when we want to waste money and our kids are older we should go on a date there. There were some rides we would have liked to go on but its hard with two kids especially when Charlotte can only go on certain ones and we have a baby. Someday though! We had a lot of fun there and I only took three pics... bad me...

They have these HUGE hibiscus there. I haven't seen any this big since I was in Hawaii ten years ago!

So after we got home my parents, brother, and Izzy and Nolan came over. They brought this portable fire pit thingy. We did tin foil dinners. They were soooo good. I used ground turkey with shredded zucchini in it. Its so moist and really good. Then we loaded it with some veggies. After that we did smores and lit fireworks. I can't believe how many fireworks were being shot off around us. And the super expensive ones. Where do people get this money? I just can't see putting the money I have or going into debt for something that goes up in smoke. Seriously? I think in one group we counted like 10 of the aerials right in a row. That's gotta be like 60 to 100 bucks a firework. It was insane. I'm sure we saw a few thousand worth in fireworks going off around us. At one point we saw cops, ambulence and fire go by. And one of the paramedics got lost. He turned down this other street by us when I think we was supposed to be on the next one over. Gives me great confidence in our paramedics. We saw him turn around but another paramedic had gone down the other street so whatever happened hopefully people were okay.

We stayed out until about 10. Jackson had crashed before that. Charlotte was soooo tired. Chloe and Cam came over when they got back from Lagoon but Chloe left early. She was tired. We even got a light show from mother nature for a bit too. It was a long day but we had fun doing lots of family stuff. And now its a resting day to recover.
