We haven't been up to much around here. I've been busy with the YW. I taught on Sunday and I had to write letters to my 9 beehives (9!) that were going to be at camp and I thought it'd be nice to make them all little beaded bracelets. Ha! Yeah that didn't take up too much time... not! Then I've just been trying to get us by in-between paychecks. We have eaten a lot of ground turkey with taco seasoning (probably about 4 1/2 lbs the last week and a half) and salads and mac and cheese. But it was all cheap and it works. It just means I have to cook more because I haven't been able to do freezer meals. I don't know if I can with Scott's next paycheck either. Depends on how much it is and bills and my time. I can only do freezer meals on Sat when Scott is home and my nieces and nephew will be out this Sat for at least the next couple weeks. So its been busy and I'm kinda getting tired of cooking (gasp... me not enjoying cooking?). I guess when its the same thing over and over it gets old. Oh well. We have food to eat!
Oh we do have something exciting going on. My brother mentioned how he was trying to refinance his house since he has been unable to sell it and he ended up giving me the info to the lady he was going through. I emailed her and gave her some info and it sounds like she might be able to help us out. Which mean our house payment could be dropping a couple hundred bucks a month (note to my out of state friends... there are a ton of homes in Tooele and they are super cheap and with interest rates so low you are getting a killer deal. Not to mention you can qualify for a usda loan too no interest down because Tooele is considered rural... I gotta keep trying!). That would be huge! We have been very good not using our credit cards and if we do we pay it back as soon as Scott gets paid. So we're slowly getting out of debt and making things a little easier since Scott's probably not going to get a raise any time soon. This is the only thing I can do to save us. This way we can get out of debt much faster. I might even have one or two cards paid off by the end of the year. Hot dog! Finally get rid of the stuff from our trip to CA when my friend got married and all the groceries and the house payment that went on there when Scott's hours were cut. That was a crazy time and we're paying for it but I'm glad that there is some light at the end of the tunnel. So if everything works right we should only have to pay a couple hundred at closing and our interest rate will be so much lower. We'll hopefully close the last week of Aug and Sept be house payment free which means money to pay off debt! We meet with this girl Fri and she's gonna go over all our stuff and we'll hopefully qualify. From what I could tell we should. So I'm really excited for Fri to see what's all gonna happen.
I mentioned my nieces and nephew coming up. We've already planned the zoo next Monday because we'll all get in for free with my zoo pass. Tuesday is Pioneer Day which means Lagoon Day. So we'll probably be going there and Chloe will tag along. My bro might do something else with the kids. That night though we'll probably bbq and do fireworks at my house. We're hoping sometime to rent a boat up at Jordanelle and fish or something. I don't know for sure if we'll go. Depends on the day they pick and if Scott can go or what not. We also want to do some dutch oven cooking up the canyon one evening. I wish I had a baby carrier so we could do some hiking. We talked about taking them to City Creek too. I'm sure lots of little things will come up but its nice to be so close to my parents right now so I can just walk the kids over there. It'll be easier while they're visiting.
Well I'm off to fold more laundry before these kiddos get up from their naps. I can't tell you how nice it is to have both down at the same time to be able to just breathe. That reminds me too, I've been trying to exercise more to help with the weight loss. Charlotte and I have gone on some bike rides and I'm slowly getting back into running again. Chloe and I are hoping to try this bike trail on Sat called the Serengeti. Looks really pretty. I have been wanting to try some of the local trails I can ride to since my bike doesn't really fit in my car. So hopefully we can get her bike fixed up and ride together soon. Yay! Oh and a couple pics...
