Catching up before we leave!

Okay so I'm trying to catch up kinda quick. We're taking a vacation (finally!) to St. George on Mon and staying through Sunday so I wanted to catch up with some pics I've taken.

So Friday the 17th and Sat the 18th we took trips to Heber to get hay for my parent's horses. They stock up every year and with the drought this year they only got two cuts so we had to get what we could to hopefully last them most of winter. We headed up Friday afternoon and got like 67 bales I think. Then Sat morning we did 68. It was kinda tiring but not too bad. And it was nice not being told to stop helping this year. Last year I was pregnant with Jackson and they wouldn't let me help much. I still found my ways :) Its a great workout!

Me and my dude the first trip. Charlotte was sleeping the first trip but I got pics of her on the 2nd.

He was getting so sick of the car so he was sucking on a wrist rattle trying to calm himself. Poor due :(

Then after we got the hay done Sat we showered and cleaned up whatever I couldn't finish Fri and then headed to SLC. We met up with Rick and Amber. We were hoping to get to know Amber a little better but having kids around does not make that easy. But she still seems really nice and everything and she gets along great with the kiddos.

Charlotte in the water at City Creek Center... of course...

Letting Jack Jack in on the fun
With a little peer pressure we convinced Rick to stick his head in...
Then got him to do a missionary hair-do... all slicked down and parted
Then we walked to Temple Square to go to the spot where Scott proposed to me. We attempted a family pic there.
Ugh... I look awful... it was warm and Charlotte was quite the pill that night.
Then Charlotte had Rick throwing her up in the air. His poor arms. She worked him out!

Then I snagged a picture of the temple... and did some editing. I liked the yellowy sky.
Oh and a couple got engaged right by us. Pretty funny. We were telling Rick and Amber about our engagement story and how CPK was part of it :) After that we hopped on trax back to the car and headed home exhausted! It was a fun evening out I just wish Charlotte behaved better. I told Scott we'll have to go out with them again... minus the kids :) But it was nice to be able to talk to Amber a little more and get to know her a little bit better.

So Sunday rolled around and I had to teach and had a class pres meeting. Scott had meetings all morning so it was kinda crazy trying to do my lesson (I forgot I had to teach until like Fri night but we were too busy and hardly home so I couldn't do it.. blah!) and get the kids ready and have a meeting. But it got done. I ended up keeping the kids home because they both had colds and even though Charlotte picked it up from nursery I wasn't about to spread it to other kids. So Scott got to enjoy Sacrament meeting and Sunday School himself. Then came home to relieve me so I could teach. And I was super awesome and forgot my manual. But brought the game I had planned so it all worked out.

Monday we had Jackson's dr appt. He was measured at 26.5 in. I don't think that's accurate because he was trying to turn over and the nurse was sick. She hardly had a voice and looked like death. Poor girl. But I am pretty sure he's bigger than that. He weighed in at 16 lbs. Everything looks good. He is growing fast! He's eating 3 times a day now. Trying new foods. He is almost crawling. It's so scary. He gets to what he wants pretty good. Still sweet and still sleeps. Thank goodness!

Tues Scott was paid so Chloe and I went in to Costco and Winco for a little shopping. Then hit up Sally's for some developer so she could touch up my weave a bit. Wed my mom and I traveled all over the valley trying to find a shirt in the color I wanted Jackson to wear for pics on Sat. I could not find anything plain! It was a pain. Nothing in his size! So I went back to a store where I saw something close enough but someone else bought the last one! Nooooo! So we headed to Fashion Place... nothing then finally Sugarhouse and my mom found one left for $2! I'll take it! Not quite what I wanted but I think it worked ok. We got back just in time to get home and feed Jackson then drop the kids off at my mom's.

We finally closed! Our refi will be official on Mon. Yesssss! House payment down to $910! Thank goodness. We'll be saving like $240! Locked into 3.375% so not too bad. It was such an easy process and our loan officer was awesome. She made it so easy for us and we only had to pay like $155 at closing. So awesome! Such a relief! Then after all that I came home and had time to eat dinner then head out the door to mutual. Wed was a looooooong day!

Thurs I took my car in to get the windshield replaced. Finally. Then spent the rest of the day cleaning and doing laundry. I was so busy that day.

Friday was crazy. Got my cleaning done and more laundry. Then we headed out of town around 4:30pm. Scott's cousin Glen got married. Scott needed to work that day so we missed the sealing and luncheon but made it out to Mapleton for the reception. It was a nice little backyard reception. Charlotte was quite the naughty girl. The kids slept on the way out and were good then. But Jackson had it by the end and just wanted to eat and go to bed. He crashed on the way home but surprisingly Charlotte stayed awake the whole time. It was good to see family. I didn't get to visit as much as I had hoped but some is better than none! We didn't get home until almost 11 that night.

Sat we got up and got ready because Scott's other cousin, Karly, was doing family pics for us. I have been wanting her to do some for us for a while and hope in the future she's still willing to do more for us :) Charlotte did so much better with her than when we were in a studio. It was fun to hang out with her and her little sis Katee. They're awesome and I wish we got to see them more. Love those girls! I can't wait to see how they all turned out but I really like what I saw from a few she showed me. So so excited!

We stopped at Costco for some cheap lunch then headed home and hung out at my parent's for a bit. My dad was attempting to fix my car Fri and Sat but couldn't. So we had to take it back to Big O for repairs. We were hoping it would get done while we were there but it didn't. After a bit we came back so I could get some dishes and other things done that I had been neglecting from being gone so much this past week. Squeezed in a 15-20 min nap before my dad called and said my car was done. We picked it up and it sounds so much better. So now all I have to do is register my car but its set to go for our trip. Thank goodness! It's tough when cars get older! We also had a bunch of yard work to do tonight. Our yard was looking sad! I had to trim back some sunflowers. Water my zucchini and pumpkin plant. Scott mowed and I pulled some weeds. But we got it done. Its been a really long week.

Tomorrow we have a baby blessing at 9am then I have a pres meeting at 10:15 then we have church and at some point I have laundry to do and packing and bathing the dog. I just wanna get as ready as I can for Mon. Scott is gonna work for a few hours in the morning since its a 3am day. We're hoping to leave around 10ish. My sister is gonna house/dog sit for us. And I just  hope I can get it all done! We so need this break. Our family just needs some time away from home. We're hoping to hit up Zion's some day. But $25 to get in? That's kind of a joke! So we'll see... but we're also gonna meet up with some friends in Vegas and do a little swimming and just hang out and enjoy the rest. I can't wait! If my laptop will work I hope I can update while we're down there. We'll see. Yay for a break!
