Remember

I kept meaning to post this but kept forgetting. Back in July my great uncle had died. He was my dad's mom's brother. I don't remember much about Uncle Lloyd. I know I used to see him ever year or so when I was little and we'd come up to Logan for family reunions with the Naylors. But I really don't remember much. But here is his obituary. I know it was kind of weird how he died. On like the 4th of July he went for a car ride and somehow ended up in Park City and got in an accident. He ended up at the Intermountain Medical Center and they ended up finding a bunch of cancer and he was in bad shape. He died there two days later. Pretty sad but I'm sure he was a good man and I know he is missed by his family.

While searching for this I found my Grandpa Christensen's obituary too. It's below Uncle Lloyd's. I tried to see if there was an record of my Grandma Christensen's but couldn't find one. She died when I was like 2 1/2. I remember a very small glimpse of her funeral. I can remember someone playing an organ and there were tons of flowers around. That's it. My parents think I might have seen her. I told them I was talking to her and she told me she loved me. And I guess I repeated back the same way she always said, "Audie, I love you!" I can't say I remember but you never know with little kids. The veil is much thinner for them. So I didn't find her obit but I randomly found a picture online of their headstone. Cool little thing too... my dad's parents were married on his mom's bday which also happens to be mine and Scott's anniversary. Then his parents were sealed on June 27th which I'm pretty sure is Aaron and Malia's anniversary. Kinda crazy. I was bummed Scott never got to meet my grandpa. He did come with me to his funeral after dating only 2 weeks! He kinda gave me an excuse not to be there all day. There was some weird drama going on with that family I didn't want to deal with so after the funeral and luncheon we went back to my grandpa's house then that afternoon met up with his older brothers and went to a corn maze. Anyway, I just wanted to have these here so I can always remember family and have this in our blog book when it eventually gets printed. So nice to have this little history of my family. I really want to take a trip up to Logan though to see my grandparents grave site and I'd love to head up to Bancroft, ID so we can check out all of my family's history left behind in that town.
