Charlotte is still about the same. She is a smart girl. She amazes me every day. When she plays with the coins in her piggy bank I try to teach her what each coin is called. I remember not knowing them in kindergarten and that scared me. I don't know why but that sticks. So she brings me a handful of nickels and tells me they're nickels and I have her count them. Then I take some away and have her count again. Then add some back and count again. She's getting pretty good at counting objects. Sometimes she skips one and just keeps counting the number and goes way high. She loves to sing and dance. I'm thinking maybe enrolling her in dance next year with a lady Scott knew growing up. She teaches dance to little kids so I think that might be something for her to try when she's a little older. I did a little video recently asking her some favorites. She told me her favorite color was red and favorite movie was Tangled. Her favorite animal is an elephant. Ah... I can't remember the rest but I have those on a dvd. For Halloween she is going to be Rapunzel. We also just "made" her a blanket. I let her pick out some fleece at the store. Since I don't know how to sew I remembered a blanket the yw made me for Charlotte. You just cut the edges of the blankets and tie each little piece of material in a knot. Nothing fancy and super simple. Now she has a new blanket since "babe-it" died. She loves to go places like to the store. She loves to "help" Jackson. Some ways good and some ways bad. There are days she drives me crazy (those are usually the days Scott ends up working really late for one reason or another). Other days she is just super fun. She does have an attitude though and every day we try to work on that and work on listening and just being nice. She still naps once a day. She's actually been napping really good recently. She looooooves to paint with water colors too. That's her new thing. She loves to mix the colors on her paper. I'm currently trying to make up some crafts for the holiday season that we can kind of decorate with and she'll have fun doing. She likes art stuff so I have some ideas and we'll try to do at least one thing a week.
Scott is still Executive Secretary in the ward. Still busy making lots of phone calls. He's also the life to eagle coach for scouts but its been hard to do with his other calling and with mine. He can hardly ever go to Scout Committee meeting because I have meetings I need to be at for YW. We basically will never be able to make everyone happy but its how it goes. He still works a ton and pretty sure its not gonna be an easier here. Another guy just quit and Scott's manager was told he can't hire anyone else and that the whole company is on a hiring/raise freeze. Really? If it wasn't for their dept. the Transcript would probably cease to exist. It is amazing how much the few of them output on two presses. I think they're down to 5 guys now. Something like that. They used to have like 7 or 8 I think. So they're expected to still put the same amount out with fewer guys. Pretty sure his manager is really upset. It must be super frustrating for him. Scott hasn't had a raise in over two years now and I think its been longer than that for his manager. It's frustrating but at least he has a job. He has insurance. I might see him less now but its work and we can get by. Just kind of annoying. I'm just amazed at what he does for our family. I love Scott so much and really can't imagine what my life would be like had I never met him. He is just perfect for me and never has a guy treated me so good. He's the best husband ever :)
I'm still doing YW. I'm second counselor and still love it. My beehives are so cute. I'm also coaching volleyball now. Our first game is on Thurs. I started my biggest loser stuff again. I can't be as strict as I was the first time I did it because its really really hard with two young kids at home. I spend a lot of time cooking and prepping. Sometimes I have to make some slightly less healthy substitutes but I've still been pretty good. I wasn't able to exercise much at first either. I can't just go walk for 20+ min and come home and do these other exercises. And with Scott not getting home until later and then I have mutual on Wed and now volleyball Thurs nights its just hard to find time. So since we didn't have a house payment and we got all this money back from our escrow I decided to get myself a bike trailer. The one I wanted was like$400+ and just couldn't do it. I just couldn't spend that. But this one I found the ratings really well and it folds up really easy and will fit in my honda's trunk just perfect and so flat. So far I love it. I can't wait to take the kids with me on rides all the time now. I'm going to get a bike rack for my car too so I can take it all to St. George and cruise the streets of Ivins with their lovely paved paths. With our money I've also been stocking up. The kids needed some clothes. Jackson had practically nothing for 6-9 months so he should basically be set. I hope! I found Charlotte some clothes. She needed shoes for winter mainly. Still looking for a deal on good tennis shoes. He walmart ones fell apart way too easily. I found myself some brown shoes for church. I don't have many nice church shoes. So I finally got some brown ones. I also got a couple new dresses and a skirt. I needed some long sleeve stuff for winter. I also didn't have sweaters for church. Every year Scott makes fun of me for going to shirt in just a skirt and shirt because I hate wearing a big jacket when you don't always need it. So now I finally have something perfect. I got Charlotte a couple dresses too. She's grown out of all of hers. I've also just about finished Christmas shopping for the kids. Just need some stocking stuffers. I'm keeping my eyes open for family gifts too. I'm determined to be done by November. I am taking advantage of this extra money and paying off bills early too. It's a beautiful thing. That re-fi was such a blessing! So I'm officially an online shop-a-holic until this shopping is all done. But I've scored some awesome deals thanks to Zulily. So addicted to that site. They have some good deals. Totsy too.
Other than that I think life is relatively normal. Hopefully my parents will be looking for a house the next month or two. I'm just excited for fall. I can't wait for the cooler weather. I want to get out and do fun stuff with the kids. I'm excited to lose weight. Oh and I was going to post our family pics but they're on facebook if you want to see most of 'em. I'm just too lazy to load 'em all up. But I love them. Scott's cousin, Karly, did an awesome job and I'm so having her do more once Jackson hits a year old. I better start planning outfits now. The shirt I had wasn't the most flattering but it was the color I wanted. And I was dying rushing around the Thurs before trying to find Jacskon a shirt. I will do better next time and not stress myself out last min! But they're so cute and I can't wait to get some printed and hung up! I love my family :)
