Other pictures and stuff

I had some other pictures on my camera. Like this one of Scott:

So cute! He usually bathes the kids at night while I'm cleaning up from dinner.

This was the Friday I went Christmas shopping with my mom. I had started to shovel while Jackson took a late nap and Scott and Charlotte went to grab their dinner. Then when they were done I suited up Charlotte to play and Scott and I finished the rest of the shoveling. I wish I had more time to play with Charlotte because we could have made a good slide. But it was getting pretty dark at this point. This was also when we had had power out earlier that day and it messed up our internet and we didn't have that for like 3 days. I love the snow so I was okay with it all. But the poor trees who still had lots of leaves were so sad and saggy. That's the bad thing about all this snow this early on.
Oh and did I ever post pictures of our hoop? You can kind of see it here. That hoop was up at Scott's grandparents before. I'm glad we were able to reuse it. Kind of fun!

So besides the snow we haven't done anything else super exciting. I've been busy trying to do some seasonal cleaning. I want to get the house all cleaned up for the holidays. I've been vacuuming those hard to reach places that collect dust. Scott's parent's just got a new bed so we took their old bed. It was more comfy than my brother's old bed we had and a little younger. It's been really nice to have something better to sleep on. We're going to rent a carpet cleaner this weekend and clean our carpets. Jackson was the spit up king and with him crawling at 6 months that gave us 3 awesome months of cleaning up spit up from the carpet. Which you really only can do so well. So the carpet really needs a good cleaning. I want to do it before we get all our Christmas stuff up. And in addition to that I want to paint some furniture. So I'm working on our dvd shelf thing. It's going black like a lot of the other stuff I've done. And so will our entertainment center which was Scott's grandparent's. So that is my goal this week. Its taking a little longer than I thought but luckily its been warming up so that's helped a little. I'm just trying to spruce up some things as cheap as I can. My mom is gonna teach me how to sew and I might make my own curtains too. She is talking about getting herself a new sewing machine so I'll take her old one. It still works fine she just has some arthritis issues so threading the needle is hard and I think she said some of the new ones do that for you. So she's probably gonna do that. And I'm finally going to learn how to sew and save myself some money on stuff. Hopefully :)

Oh I got to go to Super Saturday this past weekend. I made a chicken wire clip frame. Super easy and I'm so glad I know how to do that now. I need to get a staple gun and some screen so I can make my own earring holder. Then I did a glass etched Santa's Cookies plate and Santa's milk mug set. I had mentioned it to my mom so she asked me to make her one too. It turned out way cute. Now I know how to do that. The other thing I signed up for I didn't have time to do. It was ruffle totes. I was going to make two but ran out of time and lack the sewing machine and skills to do so. So once I learn I will get those done. Until then I have my fabric and totes waiting to be assembled :)

I feel like I've been so busy trying to clean and do stuff around the house. I've got all these projects I wanna get done. The days fly by. I still have to paint Charlotte's desk for Christmas. We've tried searching for a kid chair for it. Chloe and I cruised the SLC valley going to DI's this past Friday night. We went to WVC, West Jordan and Sandy and couldn't find one but we found some good clothes! I want to spend a whole day searching DI's. I always find stuff to repurpose there. Last week I reorganized our bathroom closet with baskets. Everything just kind of sat there so if you knocked over a deodorant it knocked over all this other stuff. So I found some baskets at DI and spray painted them and now its all in baskets. So much easier now and neater looking in there.

We also scored a bunk bed set for $10 from someone in my ward. She was getting rid of two sets. I just took one. It doesn't have the mattresses but basically its all there. Now I have a frame for Charlotte so when Jackson is ready to move into a bed we'll be good. Which could be sooner rather than later. If that boy figures out how to climb out eventually it will be over. That also reminds me that I need to buy Charlotte a new convertible car seat soon. Jackson is officially the height limit on his so pretty soon we'll have to use her's for him and give her a new one.

I think that catches me up. Christmas shopping is so close to being done. I have a lot to wrap. I'm super excited for Thanksgiving. I want to post a picture of our thankful tree and all the stuff we wrote. Charlotte's answers are pretty funny. I'm really excited to have lots of family time this Thurs. Scott's brother and his family will be out from Ogden. It's been forever since we've seen them. I can't even remember how long ago it was when we saw them last. So all the Spence boys will be together and we'll get to spend time at Scott's grandparents. We're really looking forward to it. Then after that we'll head down to my parent's for round two! Then hopefully Friday we'll get our Costco shopping done. And I'm most excited to get to see my husband this weekend. Hopefully. He said there is a chance he'll have to go in Friday but it all depends on how tomorrow goes. He worked like a little over 15 hours yesterday. He's already put in 8 hours to this point and I have no clue when he'll be off. Then tomorrow should be crazy too. The over time is good though. I think his last check was like 103 regular hours and 35 over time. Then this one was like 95 regular and 44 overtime I think. Sometime like that. He works so hard for this family and I just can't wait to have him home for four days. So so nice! Happy Thanksgiving!
