Thanksgiving 2012

My favorite holiday. I love Thanksgiving. I love the food and I love the time I get to spend with family. And this year was really awesome because we had the whole Spence clan up at the Bennion's this year. It was so fun for Charlotte to see all her Aunts and Uncles and play with her cousins. She doesn't get to do that often and she loves it. She probably sees Rick the most. He'll come and visit us when he's in town. And she adores Rick. She'll climb on him and hug him and just wants all his attention when he's over. The way she is with Rick is how she is with my sister and brother too. Probably because they're the ones she sees most often but she's so cute with them. So thankful for those relationships she has with her family! We also had dinner with my parents so it was a day filled with lots of good food and fun family time.

First I want to post a picture of something I decided to try this year. A thankful tree.
For FHE one night I made the trunk and cut out the leaves and we decided that Scott, Charlotte and I would each come up with one thing we were thankful for each day up until Thanksgiving day. Then we were going to do one together on Thanksgiving but I just let Charlotte do it herself because her's were pretty entertaining. So here is our lists:
Audrey: Our church building, washing machine and dryer, the Church, Charlotte, temples, carpet, missionaries, Daddy (and his cute face) :), Holy Ghost, carpet cleaners, our good health, hot water, eternal families, Heavenly Father, Jackson, heating and air, being able to go to the dentist, personal progress, plan of salvation, our cars, and siblings.
Charlotte: blankets, Disney figurines, TVs, ABC songs, pens, slides, blocks, little or big dogs (Toby too), baskets, books, remotes, basketballs, llamas, chairs and tables, windows, mirrors, scissors, lamps, rocking chairs, shoes, magnets, and water.
Scott: law enforcement, scriptures, grandparents, the prophet, education, our house, Jesus, bed, computers, the commandments, ward family, soap, food, electricity, job, sports, internet, movies, ancestors, priesthood, and Mommy.

It was funny hearing the stuff Charlotte would come up with it. She would be looking around trying to find something. It was cute though. Definitely will be a tradition and fun to do with Jackson too as he gets older.

And here are my pictures from Thanksgiving:
Shortly after we started eating Jackson crashed on Scott's lap. Poor guy. He slept on the couch a little while. Love my sweet boy!
I was surprised how good Charlotte was about going and sitting with Mark. She did want to go out and play but even though she doesn't get to see him often she was pretty comfortable with him. He was trying to take a picture of her and put a mustache on her with his phone. She didn't stick around long because she wanted to play but I had to snag a pic since its not something we see often! :)
This is the newest of the Spence's. Little miss Addy. Love those baby blues! She was born about 3 1/2 weeks after Jackson. So not as close and Ryan and Livy (3 days!) but they're still close in age. She's a cutie and looks so much like her sister and her Dad.
Here is Olivia. She's always posing goofy. She's a silly one this girl. Charlotte had a blast playing with her.
Love these boys so much! This was shortly after Jack Jack woke up. He was so out of it. But he's so cute when he cuddles with Daddy. Whenever Scott gets home he jumps out of my arms to see him. It's pretty cute. Love my Scooter bug! :)
We took the opportunity to take pics while we were all together. Of course with the kids it was close to impossible but close enough!

Afterwards these kids were rolling on the ground and we threw Jackson in to get a pic. I didn't get any of Ryan or a good one of Mylee. Next time we're all together. Maybe around Christmas? From the left it's William, Jackson, Charlotte and Olivia. The Tooele Spence cousins.
I don't remember how it was brought up but Rick and Mark started to hop across the road. I got a little video too. Although Charlotte wanted to copy and almost ran in the street. Silly boys. They're always great for good entertainment.

Then the kids starting hopping around safely on the sidewalk. William was doing more of a gallop but it was cute. He was trying so hard. Charlotte of course was part of it and so was Mylee.
Jackson and his glowing eyes... my cute boys.

So yeah, Thanksgiving was really fun. And the food... so so good. Ashlee made some amazing sweet potatoes. And Scott's mom made really yummy apple pie. It was so good. We had to be careful not to stuff ourselves with a second feast later. And my family did the classic yummy rolls. A Christensen family tradition.   Great day, great food and great family!
