And here we go again...

I called the dr's office this morning and was able to meet with a nurse practitioner today. So I went in at 10:30 but had to wait like an hour to get called back. They were super busy. I went through the process of explaining all my pain and about my past history. She did an exam which wasn't too bad. Then she ordered an ultrasound. They happened to have an opening. This girl, Heather, was the one that did it. She knows Scott's family so she remembered me. She was talking to me and showed me some of the pictures. She found a bunch of cysts clustered together. She thought they were on an ovary but then she realized it wasn't my ovary at all. She couldn't quite figure it out and didn't say too much since she wanted the dr to look at them. I had to kind of hurry out because Chloe had to leave and she was watching the kids. They called me just a few minutes later. My dr is ordering an MRI and some blood work. I go back this afternoon to get blood drawn once Scott can get home. They were going to order the MRI as soon as possible. I guess I'll see if they have done that when I go back. I've never done an MRI but I get kinda claustrophobic. If they use the imaging place right across from their bldg then I think there is an open MRI so hopefully I can do that. I've read most MRI's are like 30-45 min and I'm not sure I can sit that long in a smaller space.

I'm kinda nervous about what it all is. Hopefully nothing cancerous. We don't have a history of that in our family. I'm sure a lot of it is procedure to rule those types of things out. The lady I met with, Sara, said she's not sure whether or not I'll have to have surgery but once they can do the MRI it will tell my dr more. So if I'm lucky by the end of this week I will hopefully have answers. So glad I got all my Christmas stuff done. Well almost. I think I know what we're doing for Scott's bro I just have to wait for Scott to get paid and we can get the rest of it. I guess another worry is cost of all this. I can only imagine just what today is going to cost with the ultrasound. Let alone an MRI. My CT scan last time cost us a pretty big chunk. I can't remember what it was. I should look it up. If you happen to come across a place that sells money trees I'm totally interested :)

Well any prayers would be much appreciated right now. I'm not the best when it comes to dr stuff. And this really is not fun. I so want this pain gone. And it all had to happen right before Christmas. So my luck! 5 yrs ago it was surgery on Halloween and now I'm messing with Christmas. What a pain. Well I hope everyone else has an amazing Christmas. I always love the week leading up to it with all the festivities and family time. Hope everyone enjoys this time of year and celebrating the birth of our Savior. I'll try to update as I can but we have some crazy storm moving in. Our internet wasn't working over the weekend from the last snow and this is supposed to be bigger. So I don't know what kind of access I'll have but if I can I'll update as I find out. Wish me luck because I'm gonna need it! :)
