Anyway, after all that shoveling I wanted the kids to be able to enjoy the snow and play in it. We finally got some time right before it was getting dark. I made a little slide for the kids and let them play while I tried to clear the stuff from the plows so when Scott got home he wouldn't have any issues. I took a few pics.
Charlotte loves to eat snow. I should really invest in a hawaiian ice machine at some point. And do you like how my boogie boards get recycled into sleds now. I can't get rid of them. But they have nice slick bottoms that make them excellent sleds! :)
Jackson doesn't really have any snow stuff. I can't justify buying him a $30+ suit he'll grow out of very quickly. I found what I thought were little snow pants at DI. They're not waterproof. Good thing we were only out like a half hour! He did have some thick sweats on underneath though. He also doesn't have boots. So I put on a couple pairs of socks and shoes that are too big and that worked for the short time. His gloves held up better than I thought. His hands stayed dry and didn't get too cold.
He was having fun crawling around everywhere.
He did face plant in the snow though. Poor dude! I had him slide down the slide on the boogie board and then he was just sitting there. I stood up a second to stretch my back and he leaned forward into the nice powder. It was too deep so good thing I was there to grab him but his poor face got so cold!
Scott hates cheesy lovey dovey stuff so I wrote our initials in a heart in the snow and sent him a pic saying lame. I knew he'd appreciate it. Hahahaha... I'm so glad we have the same sense of humor.
I have been loving the snow but it was that storm that held my dad and bro up from getting the kids. They made it to Grantsville and had to turn around. The roads were horrible. They were never going to make it to Reno in that weather. They would have had to use chains almost the entire drive. So they got off in Grantsville and waited until Sat to drive there and get them. Now they're officially out but have to leave again Sat. So we'll get to enjoy their company for a few days. I'll probably post about them next year :)
