Primary Children's Ophthalmologist

On March 8 we took Jackson to Primary Children's down in Riverton to meet with Dr. Young. It was kind of confusing to find the right building to go into and we barely made it in time for our appointment since its like an hour drive. Its a really nice hospital though. We got in quick and they were so nice. Dr. Young came in to check out his eye and wanted to dilate them because I guess when they have a clogged tear duct it can sometimes change the prescription of the eye. So she needed to check his prescription in each eye to make sure they're the same. She sprayed his eyes and we had to hang out 20 min for that to kick in.

His eyes looked for but his only issue is that clogged tear duct. She said it was going to need surgery. She didn't see a big rush on it since it hasn't given him any infections. It's just been a pain to keep clean. His eye gets so goopy. I feel bad. But we really can't afford anymore medical bills at this point. I'm trying to figure out how we're going to keep making the payments we have from all my stuff. So I've been trying to massage near his eye and on his nose trying to open that duct. And I am praying for a miracle. Plus he does have to have general anesthesia which would just be sad but its only like a 20 min procedure. They just insert a small metal thing into the duct and then they have a little balloon that inflates to make sure the tear duct opens then that's it. Very simple but I just don't think we can afford it right now. But his eye seems to be a little more goopy since we've been there. I hope it doesn't get worse. Ugh... doctor bills. Not fun. If Scott's work would just give him a raise already I wouldn't be so concerned. Oy!

But it is what it is. So now we wait. In the mean time, isn't he just a cutie? I love this boy!

Scott put this headband on him and he'd walk around thinking he was hot stuff. It was so funny. Then he'd pull it off and try to put it back on again.

This is the face I get when I ask him if he's hungry or wants milk. He whines and pouts which basically tells me "yes!"
