Disney On Ice Dare To Dream

When we took Jackson to the ophthalmologist, Charlotte stayed with my mom. The next day Scott and I left Jackson with my mom and decided to let Charlotte have her own special day. I think some of her acting out is attention related. So we wanted to do something special for her. In the past Scott's work has had free tickets to Disney on Ice but recently it seems like the owners have only been using them for their family or something like that. But a lady up front did have a coupon that gave us $10 off each ticket. Charlotte loves riding the train so we drove out to WVC at their main trax station and took the train from there into downtown SLC. It's about a half hour ride and Charlotte had a lot of fun. She was being shy when I took this before we left the WVC central station.

We got to the arena at 11:30 as it was starting. I still had to buy tickets. But it paid off. We got the $23.50 tickets for $10 off each one which put us in 9th row right on the end! Not too shabby! My parent's had given me $100 on my birthday so I decided to use this money to have a special day for Charlotte. We got some treats too since it was lunch time. I was hoping to go to the Lion House and eat there but we just didn't have time. It was our stake conference that weekend and Scott had a meeting at 3.

We got in there and they were doing the frog princess. We've never seen that but they did a good job. Here are the pics I had from that.

Then they did Cinderella and then they had an intermission. Then came the part Charlotte was super excited to see. Tangled! She loves that movie so she was way into it and just mesmerized.

At the end they had all the Disney princesses out and it was really neat. Charlotte had so much fun. Then I let her get this braided hair thing for $20. She used to always use her Tangled blanket to pretend it was super long hair she'd do stuff with. Not she has her braid. She loves it!

Then we must have missed the train by a few minutes so we had to wait like 15 min for the next green line to come. We decided to walk down to the station by City Creek to kill some time. I was glad we had a little day date with Charlotte. Scott ended up being a half hour late to his meeting. Then later on Scott's mom came down and did us a huge favor and watched the kids so we could go to the adult session of stake conference together. It was so nice! It was a really long day since I had been up since 6:15 to go with my mom to take my brother to the airport and go grocery shopping at Winco. But it was such a fun day. Love these moments!
