Easter

We had a nice relaxing Easter this year. We started things off on Saturday by coloring eggs.

 We thought we'd try the dinosaur eggs this year. Supposedly if your eggs are too fresh though, the shells won't peel off when hard boiled. So next year I'm going to buy my eggs a month before and set some aside for dying purposed. They came out okay but some didn't peel so great.

Then we did some normal dyed eggs. I found a couple packs in our pantry and we have a million stickers so I told Charlotte to add stickers. She loves coloring eggs.

Money was a bit tight this year so we didn't get the kids much for Easter. Just some jelly beans, Cadbury caramel eggs, and krabbie patties. Charlotte also got a magnet thing from my mom and I grabbed her a coloring book (I mean I guess it's from the "Easter bunny"). Charlotte's been using my old basket and I had to get Jackson one this year. Some of them are so expensive!

 We were going to try some Easter cookies overnight that Charlotte's primary teacher gave her a recipe to but she was throwing a fit the night before and didn't want to have anything to do with it and I didn't want to waste my time. I also think they were like a meringue and I don't know if she'd even eat them. I'm not a fan of it in cookie form.

Church was nice. Scott only had one meeting so he was only gone from about 8 to 8:30 then we walked to church with the wagon. It's finally wagon weather! Church was really good. Especially since I had been solo the last two weeks. The first week Scott wasn't feeling good and last week he was working. It was so nice to have help this week and to just have us all together. After church and after Jackson's nap we went to my parent's for dinner and an Easter egg hunt.

It was a good Easter and the weather was just perfect. Couldn't have asked for better weather!
