Charlotte is officially 4 years old as of April 28th. Since her bday was on a Sunday I decided to do some stuff with her on Saturday. Scott stayed home with Jackson while Chloe and I took her into SLC. We first went to Gateway to Build A Bear. I hadn't been there in years and it was her first visit. She picked Pinkie Pie. I let her pick out an outfit and my mom told Chloe to let her spend $20 there. She got a skirt and a dress and shoes. That pony is all sequined out. She loves it so much. After Gateway I wanted to check out the Disney store at City Creek so we rode Trax over to check that out. They have the coolest princess stuff. I was amazed at how awesome some of those dresses are. I wish I was that little! I let Charlotte pick out something there. She picked a Jessie hat that's all sparkly. Most the stuff was pretty expensive minus some pjs but she already has plenty of those. After that we went to Zupas for lunch. Charlotte loves the Wisconsin Cauliflower soup. She likes to dip the bread in it and the little oyster crackers. She also loves the chocolate dipped strawberries. After that we headed home. It was fun little outing with her. I forgot my camera that day so this was the only picture I had from Saturday.

Sunday we were just having family over that evening for cake and ice cream. With church and teaching and meetings we kept it simple. She wanted an Aquabats cake. We did a funfetti cake dyed pink then blue frosting on the outside and I love filling so I made a custard filling. I used a toothpick to draw on the letters and the Aquabat. Then I just used this glitter gel stuff I found at Walmart to fill it all in. Not too bad eh?
Oh and we tried Tillamook ice cream and it's pretty dang good. We RARELY buy ice cream. I don't keep it around because I lack self control. I never buy cookies or chips or anything along those lines. Plus its expensive so we can't really afford it so that helps keep it out of here too. But whenever I do need to buy ice cream. I will buy Tillamook. It's really good. Charlotte was all weird again when it came to blowing out her candle so she didn't blow it out.
She also opened her presents.
She got some Legos, bubbles and princess dresses for her princess from my parents. My brother got her this talking Dora backpack thing. She loved that. We had gotten her the Build A Bear and then a few months ago I found a Tangled doll on clearance at Walmart and had that stashed away so she got that too. Scott's parents came by later and brought her some clothes and a check so we could download stuff onto her Leap Pad. We put on a couple shows and a coloring game and a music game. We also did an MP3 player so I could put music on it for her. She's got a pretty sweet set up now. After presents we went outside to blow bubbles and just enjoy the amazing Spring weather.

Yesterday Charlotte had her well child check up. She is measuring in at 39.5 in tall (50th %) and 34.4 lbs (50th %). Everything checks out good. We'll have to take her to an orthopedic dr to get her thumb checked out. The dr said it could be trigger thumb but he's not sure. He's only seen 3 cases in the last 6-7 years. So he referred us out. I decided to get her kindergarten shots done because the dr said she could since she was 4 and his own belief is its less traumatizing now rather than in another year. So we did and she's set until jr high. She did really good too. She sat there and watched and barely even cried. It was just little whines and then she was good. She was sore last night on her thighs but seems to be okay today. Just have to watch for the MMR in about 10 days and hopefully she won't have any reactions. I think she did a couple years ago but it was minor and gone by the next day.
I can't believe Charlotte is 4. She loves to be outside and play. Her favorite sandwiches are pb and honey and mayo and mustard (bleh). She likes fruit but is picky when it comes to veggies. She will eat spinach though. Go figure. She loves to go to the store. She loves The Aquabats, My Little Pony, Dora, Pucca... she watches all kinds of random stuff on Netflix too. She can write most of her letters. Hopefully we'll work on reading with her soon. She does better going to sleep now. She'll play on her Leap Pad or watch something on it and doesn't need us (well... Scott) in there anymore. That makes it so much easier for us. The last couple months of that have been so nice. Charlotte loves her family soooooo much. Anytime she gets to see a grandma or grandpa or aunt or uncle or cousin she is just so happy. She loves to see and do stuff with her family. I hope that is something that always sticks with her. She loves going to church and loves her primary teachers. She always talks about them and how she loves them. It's cute. She can be a really good sister. Not all days are good but she will give Jackson toys to play with and help him. Some days she can just be the sweetest girl ever. I like those days :) Overall she's a good and very smart girl. Love my feisty 4 year old!
